Meshuggah explained why Future Breed Machine was not on Alive, it was because it's always the last song they play in a set and because of that they're usually tired and they don't feel any performance of it was up to thse quality they wanted for the DVD. I praise that integrity. They did nod to it though by playing it during the closing credits.
