  • @ylahumanidad Can't a nation be arab and independent ? It doesn't make any sense.

  • @ylahumanidad Almanzor was Arab (from a yemeni family) AND Andalusian. 'Andalusian' is not a race. And sorry but I don't think that today's Andalusian is exactly the same as the medieval Al-Andalus. I think Andalusi nation ended in the late 15th century, with the end of the "Reconquista", although its traces are still visibles in the southern Spanish culture, etc. So when I speak of Al Andalus, I don't really speak of your culture.

  • @ylahumanidad I am French but Arab and I know enough Andalusia thanks to books and travels. Why don't you accept that Andalusi culture was above all Arab ? Almost all historians say that. It is not because 'racial' Arabs were a minority that their culture couldn't have been dominant. For example, French culture is a mix of Latin, Germanic and Celtic , however it is above all Latin (despite the fact that racial Latins were far less numerous than indigenous and Germanics).

  • @ylahumanidad Arab is a race and a culture. Arabs were first a semitic human group that come from Arabia. With the Islamic conquest and later Arab invasions, many racial Arabs emigrated in the conquered lands where many indigenous have been arabized, and became Arabs by culture, just as Gauls became Latins by the culture. Most of Andalusis were Arabized Iberians and Berbers. Almanzor wasn't a yemeni of course, but he was Arab. It was in his blood even if you don't like it.

  • @ylahumanidad Arab is not a nationality. Arabs who borned in Al Andalus stayed Arabs. A Chinese Han can emigrate to USA and become American, but he can't stop being a Han. You can be Germanic and English, Germanic and French, Arab and Iranian, Berber and Moroccan. Do not mix races and nationality...

  • @ylahumanidad Otherwise yes I still claim that the main influence, although not the only, of the old Andalusi culture was Arab. Andalusis spoke Arabic, were often of Arab origin or believed it, were called "Arabs" by the non-Arabs muslims like North African Berbers, etc.

  • @ylahumanidad You must have serious problems of identity to be agressive like that. And I am sure I have read more about medieval Al Andalus than you. I have arguments, whereas you have almost only insults. Stop ridiculizing yourself.

  • @ylahumanidad I have rarely seen such an ignorant and silly guy. Search "Arabs" on wikipedia. I said Arabs are firstly an ethnic group that extended to non racial Arabs people by the culture and the language. Are you a left winger ? Because it seems that you won't even admit that races/ethnic groups exist. Which makes me think of those awful gay prider leftists.

  • @ylahumanidad I saw but there are no explanations. Because you haven't read anything about Arabs.

  • @ylahumanidad It is not because you are Andalusian that you know al Andalus better than me. There are non-French that know French history far better than me. Besides its possible that I have Andalusi blood, whereas it is possible that you are the descendant of Castillan colonizers installed for the "repoblacion". And al Andalus wasn't only Southern Spain/Baetica.

  • @ylahumanidad You just laugh and insult... It is not convincing you know.

  • @ylahumanidad I haven't any envy. And it seems that I have less problems of identity than you, although I am an French Arab. I know that it is difficult to admit that there is big chance that you are the descendant of the people you hate (Spaniards/Castillans).

  • @ylahumanidad Don't really care of Actual Andalusia. I speak about the old and dead al Andalus.

  • Comment removed

  • @ylahumanidad But there is something that you must understand. I never said that being Arab makes the guy superior or non-Andalusian. When I said Almanzor was Arab, it is just a fact. And it doesn't mean that he was more "Arab than Andalusian". It doesn't make any sense, because it is two different things: Arab is his race, Andalusia his nation/identity (more important than the race of course, if not Moroccans would not be Arabs and French would not be considered as Latins).

  • @ylahumanidad You haven't anything to do with the Andalusis fucking Spanish bastard.

  • Comment removed

  • @ylahumanidad Shut your pussy. I have no envy. But you want to be a guy from al Andalus or Beatica I don't know, whereas you are Spaniard, probably the result of the castillan "repoblacion".
