Also 43 this year, and this brings back the best memories of my life. Growing up in the 80's, although we didn't realise it back then, was a blessing.
Pure classic from back in the day!!.When creating music was about using your imagination to produce a 'fresh' unique sound that was all your own. Not trying to sound like anybody else, or just catering to the predominant style of the day. Like what's done by today's new jacks.
Ha Ha.On the real man.In the future.I wish the future was right now.I mean, people have forgotten all about real electro yo.There's even some who'd critisize this type of music.
Damn right, when music wasn't violent,Too bad that today, not only rap and hip hop are violent, the use of sexual foul language is extremely used by these artists.Oh well, it's a good thing YOUTUBE exists, so people like you and me, can sit back relax and listen to some of these old school jams and enjoy them.
@TheSeriousmrkarate Missy Elliot did sample this song. It's called, "Lose Control." I remember listening to it on 106 radio station back in 2006, so yeah it came out about 5 years ago. Got it? =)
Jazz the funky Autobot breakdances to this as well, thats why he leaned in the b-boy stance when he first met Sam Witwicki in the initial Transformers Movie lol. I'm joking.

@MagnitudePerson Rap was wayback HipHop before the entrance of analogue electronics.. '72-'74.. based on funk, soul & disco, when founders like Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel etc started to use samples (most for scratching) from Kraftwerk the 1st introductions were made. The ultimate take over was just a matter of time. For me, in '82, based in south-east region in The Netherlands, this music guided me in my electronic voyage.

@kihro like i said detroit are imitators and not innovators.. learn to live with that fact. they copied that sound off of kraftwerk... end of story. techno is electro by another name, but if you want to bullshit yourself into believing that the two are somehow different then i guess thats your business. i believe they call the condition being 'in denial'
@atlantichouse lol, your just wack thats all, and i doubt you even know what good music is. as for the morton i laugh at that cause I'm far from that and u wouldn't even have the guts to say that to my face anyway. i don't do internet beef so have a nice day.
I KNEW Missy Elliot Got sampled that from an 80s electro album. of course the original is much better. here is the missy version of it if anyone doesn't know. Missy Elliot - Lose Control.
This vato doesn't know what his saying "NOT HIP HOP" where you from Iowa? This song was played along with all the other hip hop back in the day homie.
No one in the HIP HOP culture that has used this sound is disputing that Kraft is the the root of the sound we are realing saying that HIP HOP has adopted the sound to a degree and artist like Afrika Bambaataa give props to Kraftwerk but this is HIP HOP because HIP HOP is not a music its a culture and its a culture of different disciplines rolled into one and this is a discipline that falls under HIP HOP
This tune should be classified under KRAFTWERK... what happened in detroit back in the early 80s? did they just run out of there own ideas and so think to them selves 'fuck it.. lets go steal somebody elses shit and pretend that we invented it'
is this what happened to rock and roll back in the 40s/50s? i mean.. is there a pattern devoloping here?
yes this hip hop and yes its electro a lot of time's we confuse rapping and emcee'in as the only thing in hip hop culture when really it an element in the culture to B-Boyz and D.J.'s this this is Hip Hop ....get big business out of hip hop if the can't respect our culture remember the elements D.J.ing, Breakin, Graffiti, Emcee'in,
Hi...imTeresa Fidlago. Today i turn 26 years of being dead. if youdont sendthis to 20 people. i will sleep by yor side tonightFOREVER. ifyoudont believe it google my name...you'll see

I KNEW Missy Elliot Got sampled that from an 80s electro album. of course the original is much better. here is the missy version of it if anyone doesn't know. Missy Elliot - Lose Control.
