  • Pure classic from back in the day!!.When creating music was about using your imagination to produce a 'fresh' unique sound that was all your own. Not trying to sound like anybody else, or just catering to the predominant style of the day. Like what's done by today's new jacks.

  • and funny how today hiphop people today hate techno, When Juan Atkins (cybotron) is the techno god of detroit techno.

  • Damn right, when music wasn't violent,Too bad that today, not only rap and hip hop are violent, the use of sexual foul language is extremely used by these artists.Oh well, it's a good thing YOUTUBE exists, so people like you and me, can sit back relax and listen to some of these old school jams and enjoy them.

  • Missy eliot got that glas sound from this!

  • Pitch a little quick...

  • Music makes you loose control is what the song says in the beginning, a few times before the song even starts if I remember correctly.

  • I already was told what the song was by Zoasterboy :-). So I already got it, I can understand :-).

  • Reminds me of one of Missy Elliot's Songs that came out a year or two ago. Forgot the name of it.

  • @TheSeriousmrkarate Yeah that song sampled this one, it's been sampled a lot. The song is "Lose Control".

  • @Zoasterboy Music makes you loose control! yeah, that's it :).

  • @TheSeriousmrkarate Missy Elliot did sample this song. It's called, "Lose Control." I remember listening to it on 106 radio station back in 2006, so yeah it came out about 5 years ago. Got it? =)

  • @dannyboyyy1000 Thats why I said yeah that's it. lol.

  • Jazz the funky Autobot breakdances to this as well, thats why he leaned in the b-boy stance when he first met Sam Witwicki in the initial Transformers Movie lol. I'm joking.

  • Optimus Prime has this stored in his data memory banks from his earliest days back on Cybertron (Inside Joke) (Cybortron). When he was Orion Pax.

  • this is DETROIT TECHNO. google it. Stop arguing, enjoy it and dance it out...

  • It's Freestyle and only Freestyle!

  • @MagnitudePerson Rap was wayback HipHop before the entrance of analogue electronics.. '72-'74.. based on funk, soul & disco, when founders like Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel etc started to use samples (most for scratching) from Kraftwerk the 1st introductions were made. The ultimate take over was just a matter of time. For me, in '82, based in south-east region in The Netherlands, this music guided me in my electronic voyage.

  • Oh sorry guys, techno has nottin' 2 do with real electro, simply because you dance different on the music. Real electro is about bodypoppin''and breakdance, techno is about XTC!!!! Greetings from Amsterdam

  • LAAS VEGAS!!!!! Thats Entertainment. what you know...all around the worlld

  • Real Techno, not the modern crap today!!!

HipHop had Electro, then it had rap, but its rap twin became mainstream and those killed itself. Long live REAL Classic Techno(and Electro)!

    THUNDERDOME!!

  • @MagnitudePerson chris liebing and adam beyer not "real" techno ? be specific XD

  • @MagnitudePerson ....yeah, and there was Jan Hammer and a few euros that took this sound and applied it to soundtracks (Vangelis-Blade Runner to name one). I like it, and it was the forerunner of Electronica with Kavinsky and all the other groups.

  • Recognize and realize- two years after this song, Fantasy Records released Doug E. Fresh's "The Show" and later Timex Social Club's "Rumours"!!!!

  • Fucking Hell! Hacienda, Manchester UK, 1984 I think, although, it may have been a year earlier. England had Kajagoogoo, we had this..imagine how it sounded at the time????? even without E, ha ha! top, top, track...seminal, man

  • Wow the folks that gave this a thumbs down (11 as of 09/22/11) must be cloudy. That's cool though, I'm so glad that I'm "Clear." XD

  • Shaun was wrong...it's Electro Hip Hop.

  • Pop! POP! Pop! POP! 1976 Baby! LOS ANGELES! CALIFAS! The troubleshame; TIME For you to Find! Clear your MIND; Clear your BEHIND!

  • I just checked out Kratwerk for the first time to better understand the rivalry between Detroit Techno and the supposed beginning.

Frankly, electronic music as we know it was invented by Detroit.

Just as we didn't invent the automobile, everything before us was a fucking joke. Kraftwerk induces fucking comas. This is music for everyone, everywhere. Enjoy.

  • @NorthernAggressor Kraftwerk were the first mainstream artists of electronic music,it wasn't Detroit as you put it,it was zee Germans in the early mid 70's.

  • just bought this 12" !! lucky me the guy sent me two copies. im just gonna mix in and out of clear for like 45 minutes, no problem

  • im only 12 years old and i love this stuff

  • "Clear"s a timeless classic! I used to wind down the pitch a few notches at 3:36 to start blending in Capt rock's "rock to the future shock"... Damn it's taking me way back!

  • 1980s was the shit i was 10 years old and breaking!

  • i was 19 when this came out dope track!!

  • Who wanna Battle!?

  • @BillionGODSun I would battle you but at my age I would hurt myself.

  • @rexboogie I Feel U Boss! ~Hip Hop Power~

  • @BillionGODSun At my age?!! No thanks, I'll leave that sort of thing to the youngsters :)

  • THIS IS ELECTRO WHEN SOUNDS LIKE NEWCLEUS, JONZUN CREW etc WERE THE IN THING ESPECIALLY IF YOU WERE INTO POPPING - BRILLIANT TO POP TO.

THE DETROIT ARTISTS LIKE DERRICK MAY HAVE NEVER CLAIMED THE RIGHTS OVER A MUSICAL GENRE AS REPRESENTED BY KRAFTWERK BECAUSE ON EARLY ALBUMS CONSTRUCTED AFTER THE SOUNDS OF CYBOTRON( BASICALLY CARL CRAIG) ALL PAY TRIBUTE TO THE LIKES OF KRAFTWERK AND DEVELOPED DETROIT TECHNO, THEIR SOUND, WITH INFLUENCES FROM KRAFTWERK WHO INFLUENCED THEM. THAT'S FACT

  • THIS IS ELECTRO WHEN SOUNDS LIKE NEWCLEUS, JONZUN CREW etc WERE THE IN THING ESPECIALLY IF WERE INTO POPPING, BRILLIANT TO POP TO.

  • simply awesome.

  • Detroit are imitators not innovators. They stole this shit off of Kraftwerk and then convinced themselves that they invented it and the really sad part is that 99% of the sheep posing as human beings on this planet are stupid enough to believe it.

  • @atlantichouse

They were inspired by Kraftwerk, as many artists have been. How is that bad?

  • @Zoasterboy because detroit claim creation rights over a musical genre that was already in existence before they suddenly "discovered" it back in the early 80s.

I wonder if you'd be so generous if somebody stole your sound and then tried to write you out of the story?

  • @atlantichouse techno and electronic music aint the same so what u tryin to say.

  • @kihro dream on moron

  • @atlantichouse lol, your just wack thats all, and i doubt you even know what good music is. as for the morton i laugh at that cause I'm far from that and u wouldn't even have the guts to say that to my face anyway. i don't do internet beef so have a nice day.

  • Comment removed

  • @atlantichouse lol @ people who love detroit techno and claiming its original brilliance being 'sheep.' sweet cliche terminology

  • I KNEW Missy Elliot Got sampled that from an 80s electro album. of course the original is much better. here is the missy version of it if anyone doesn't know. Missy Elliot - Lose Control.

    watch?v=hkfAHbylnQ8

  • 10 people thought it said MEGATRON

  • This vato doesn't know what his saying "NOT HIP HOP" where you from Iowa? This song was played along with all the other hip hop back in the day homie.

  • thumbs up if your from the D

  • Oh Yeah! my jam.

  • No one in the HIP HOP culture that has used this sound is disputing that Kraft is the the root of the sound we are realing saying that HIP HOP has adopted the sound to a degree and artist like Afrika Bambaataa give props to Kraftwerk but this is HIP HOP because HIP HOP is not a music its a culture and its a culture of different disciplines rolled into one and this is a discipline that falls under HIP HOP

  • This tune should be classified under KRAFTWERK... what happened in detroit back in the early 80s? did they just run out of there own ideas and so think to them selves 'fuck it.. lets go steal somebody elses shit and pretend that we invented it'

is this what happened to rock and roll back in the 40s/50s? i mean.. is there a pattern devoloping here?

  • DETROOOOOOIIIIITTTTT!!!!!

  • 6blocc made a dooooope ass dubstep mix of this

  • This is the stolen sound of kraftwerk pure and simple.

  • yes this hip hop and yes its electro a lot of time's we confuse rapping and emcee'in as the only thing in hip hop culture when really it an element in the culture to B-Boyz and D.J.'s this this is Hip Hop ....get big business out of hip hop if the can't respect our culture remember the elements D.J.ing, Breakin, Graffiti, Emcee'in,

  • pure kraftwerk.. the true pioneers of this genre. where kraftwerk led Detroit followed.

  • One of the baddest electro jams of all time.
