I'm playing FF6 for the first time (2001 psx remake), i just finished the opera scene, and until now i havent seen any fmv's on the game, i think it's only this one at the end... maybe some more, but dont spoil please.
Celes is the most interesting character in FF series. She is so deep, kind of good, kind of evil, a beautiful voice, a beautiful face. She is perfect!
Oh btw, people who are fighting about which FF series is the best, let me tell you that the creator of FF, Hironobu Sakaguchi, chose FF IX as his favorite. So you can't argue with the creator, is like arguing with a god or something haha.
IS this the FMV when Celes sings the opera or it's a opening because in that part of the game God Kefka don't appear, Setzer is not helping you, Terra is not with the Magitek Armor and the Slave Crown, okay this FMV is strange.
If you seen all of shadow's memories, you would know why hes on that train and the reason why the ghost player helps you. Not to mention shadow will normally leave when you get off that train or took your sweet time he'll leave earlier.
2:28 sephiroth will never look (and will never be ) as bad ass as kefka was no matter how many times the game critics put him as "the best video game villain".

The coin Edgar flipped to determine Figaro's fate had his image on one side, and Sabin's image on the other side. It was in the ending credits of the SNES version.
I think the old graphics have more meaning to me than a graphic remake. Without voices no one can hate the character's voice, and it allows the imagination to run. The same with the the design. You only get a little sprite to see and that allows your imagination to run wild on how she looks closer up.
Why are you people saying "remake plz" when you know very well that Square will fuck that shit up. Look at this video and everything they have done since FF7 and tell me they will not just bastardize and homosexualize one of the best games ever made. This PSX remake was a clear example of Square milking a product that was out of milk. I passed the Opera scene few days ago and didn't get this video, only the norma gameplay like on SNES. Is this one of three bonus videos that can be unlocked in the gallery? Is it after completing the game?
thats because, for most of us french, FF7 was our first one, for this reason it is special (i couldnt understand english when i was 11), but i also love the 6 (specially Locke and Celes). Anyway im not a FF but a suikoden fangirl!
This was the most beautiful of the games. It's by far the best, and SE should remake it, not change any of the gameplay but redo the graphics and maybe some voice acting. I'd love to hear celes actually sing the words to the song. My eyes watered when I first heard this.
One of my personal favourite Games through the years... and got some of probably the best music in the whole FF-series... Made a big impression on me as young boy... and still is...

I'm sorry, but I disagree with a remake of this game. Not because deep down I wouldn't love to relive it all over again, but the fear that they won't capture the beauty the game possessed the first time. Nobuo Uematsu was asked in an interview that if he could make another Final Fantasy who would he want on the team, his answer "Everyone who I worked with for Final Fantasy 6". He has never played favorites "All the music are his children", but it's obvious, 6 was his favorite too.
@CovertOperationsClan Nothing will ever compare to how I felt playing this game when I was 12. A remake wouldn't change the storyline or replace what is "canon", but would expose more gamers to some of the most beautiful music and storyline of any game ever made. A lot of people's favorite video game song is Aerith's Theme...with a remake I have a feeling Aria Di Mezzo Carattere would become the "new" favorite.
Final Fantasy VI is in desperate need of a remake with the most advanced platform at the time. A lot of people like VII but it is not it's time yet seeing how Final Fantasy 6 was the benchmark for introducing mass technology into a Final Fantasy Storyline.
There are many elements at play here for 6, that make it premium material. With It's rebirth, the foundations of many new Final Fantasy fans' beliefs in what is the dominant Final Fantasy would change forever.
Dissidia 012 is a failure because it didn't have Locke or any other FF6 character in it. All we got was a stupid stage. And the Phantom Train no less....ugh. I hate SE right now.
Kefka is the fucking villain, other guys wanted revenge or had a huge regreat against the world, so it was more like psychological. Or they were cursed, you know, the tipical excuse.
(X-death, Sephiroth, Jecht, Kuja, The witch in FFVIII, etc...)
Reading all these comments... Makes me think Kefka has a lot in common with the Shangri-La dude from Noein. (I know who he is I'm just trying not to be a spoiler.)
I don't rememeber a lot from FF6 and it holds a special place in my history/heart so I'm gonna have to replay it now. ;D
Actually you know what, I only wished Squaresoft would make a TV Series about all the Final Fantasies using their crazy FMV technologies nowadays. Think about it...they could make 12 seasons of a show, with each season being a Final Fantasy game starting from the first one! Course for the first three...you'd have to make up ALOT of random and fitting dialogue but IT COULD Work. Season 2 would be FF2 and so on and so on :D until whatever number. Hell they made ff7 as a movie...so why not?
This FMV is amazing. It truly brings out the game in the bestest of ways. However Terra's hair is supposed to be bluish green and shadow's skin is supposed to not be blue! Locke's hair also should be a bit darker...like an ash blonde...but beyond that...this entire game should be remade on PS3 or Made into a Movie!
I don't believe the original version of this game is complete, at least that's what I'm hoping for since I want a remake of it badly... There were so many missing pieces in the game, such as Relm's father being one of the characters, Shadow's reunion with Baram, and Ultros' future career...
Kefka's quote "Why do you learn to live, knowing all things must die?" followed by a cut to Celes' holding Locke's bandana on the beach is just an amazing sequence.
It was a classy game for sure...a remake or a revisiting of the FF6 universe would be a dream come true. But instead of super realistic 3d, they should add filters and rendering styles that capture the wispy, dream like qualities of Amandos original illustrations.
And General Leo Christophe was pretty awesome too...found out his birthday was the same as mine hahaha.

If they did this the right way, I would LOVE it if they made this game into a movie....now I'm not talking what they did with Final Fantays 7, like a sequel or whatever, but actually take everything about this game, same dialogue, scenes, etc, and just put it into movie form. No "directors vision" or anything like that......just 100% transfer the whole game. I think that'd be sick as hell!

I'm sorry, but I disagree with a remake of this game. Not because deep down I wouldn't love to relive it all over again, but the fear that they won't capture the beauty the game possessed the first time. Nobuo Uematsu was asked in an interview that if he could make another Final Fantasy who would he want on the team, his answer "Everyone who I worked with for Final Fantasy 6". He has never played favorites "All the music are his children", but it's obvious, 6 was his favorite too.

@CovertOperationsClan Nothing will ever compare to how I felt playing this game when I was 12. A remake wouldn't change the storyline or replace what is "canon", but would expose more gamers to some of the most beautiful music and storyline of any game ever made. A lot of people's favorite video game song is Aerith's Theme...with a remake I have a feeling Aria Di Mezzo Carattere would become the "new" favorite.

Final Fantasy VI is in desperate need of a remake with the most advanced platform at the time. A lot of people like VII but it is not it's time yet seeing how Final Fantasy 6 was the benchmark for introducing mass technology into a Final Fantasy Storyline.
There are many elements at play here for 6, that make it premium material. With It's rebirth, the foundations of many new Final Fantasy fans' beliefs in what is the dominant Final Fantasy would change forever.

Dissidia 012 is a failure because it didn't have Locke or any other FF6 character in it. All we got was a stupid stage. And the Phantom Train no less....ugh. I hate SE right now.

Kefka is the fucking villain, other guys wanted revenge or had a huge regreat against the world, so it was more like psychological. Or they were cursed, you know, the tipical excuse.
(X-death, Sephiroth, Jecht, Kuja, The witch in FFVIII, etc...)
But Kefka... he was just evil.

Reading all these comments... Makes me think Kefka has a lot in common with the Shangri-La dude from Noein. (I know who he is I'm just trying not to be a spoiler.)
I don't rememeber a lot from FF6 and it holds a special place in my history/heart so I'm gonna have to replay it now. ;D

Actually you know what, I only wished Squaresoft would make a TV Series about all the Final Fantasies using their crazy FMV technologies nowadays. Think about it...they could make 12 seasons of a show, with each season being a Final Fantasy game starting from the first one! Course for the first three...you'd have to make up ALOT of random and fitting dialogue but IT COULD Work. Season 2 would be FF2 and so on and so on :D until whatever number. Hell they made ff7 as a movie...so why not?

This FMV is amazing. It truly brings out the game in the bestest of ways. However Terra's hair is supposed to be bluish green and shadow's skin is supposed to not be blue! Locke's hair also should be a bit darker...like an ash blonde...but beyond that...this entire game should be remade on PS3 or Made into a Movie!

I don't believe the original version of this game is complete, at least that's what I'm hoping for since I want a remake of it badly... There were so many missing pieces in the game, such as Relm's father being one of the characters, Shadow's reunion with Baram, and Ultros' future career...

It was a classy game for sure...a remake or a revisiting of the FF6 universe would be a dream come true. But instead of super realistic 3d, they should add filters and rendering styles that capture the wispy, dream like qualities of Amandos original illustrations.
And General Leo Christophe was pretty awesome too...found out his birthday was the same as mine hahaha.

If they did this the right way, I would LOVE it if they made this game into a movie....now I'm not talking what they did with Final Fantays 7, like a sequel or whatever, but actually take everything about this game, same dialogue, scenes, etc, and just put it into movie form. No "directors vision" or anything like that......just 100% transfer the whole game. I think that'd be sick as hell!

If I own a time machine, I will go back to the year 2001 and stop Squaresoft in doing Final Fantasy Spirits Within. Because this is the reason why squaresoft merged with enix because of low earnings on the movie. And as we all know, when squaresoft was turned to squareENIX, their games sucked bad.

This game seriously needs a remake. VI,VII, and VIII were the best in my opinion (though 6 had a WAY better ending than 8). VII Is still the best in my opinion. I don't know what the f*ck they were thinking with 9.
