I'm in Valdez Alaska. One year we got 49 feet of snow. Insane. Used to shovel the snow off my roof uphill. It doesnt snow nearly that much now just gets really cold all year. What really sucks is when we get a big snow, then it rains for 4 days ontop of it, then freezes. Or we get a few feet of snow, and then get 70-80 MPH winds. Snow drifts 8 feet tall man. Alaska is a crazy place man.
hahahaha snows a lot better then rain. snows pretty sweet actually, and with it you can make a lot of money and have a lot of fun. snowboarding/skiiing one of the best sport(s) and snow plowing rakes up dough hella fast
By the end of each winter, I wonder why I put up with all this snow, but then summer rolls around and I forget all about the horrible stuff. Summer in Alaska is AMAZING!!!
@braposo23 Actually they just plow the snow into the middle of the road and create a big windrow so the snow blower can load it into the dump trucks. Its done in most cities specially in there downtown cores where there is no place to plow the snow too. Once outise the downtown cores most cities just plow it off to the edge
They brought (trucked) that snow in down the middle of the streets for the start of Iditarod through Anchorage AK. So snow isn't always that high here in AK. lol
ive never seen one in northeast p.a, but im way east 10 miles from the delaware, but im sure there around. Its prolly a big oshkosh blower rig. n/y has alot of them, cuz you can only plow so much.
This is not exclusive to Alaska. I'm pretty sure that you will see this done pretty much anyplace that there is snow. And that is a small snow blower in comparison. In Northern Maine they are as big as the dump truck. Just because it's Alaska doesn't mean that it's the biggest and baddest.

Snow can be fun, but when it comes to labor, rain is self shoveling! ;-)

Very true, they bring clean snow in for the FurRondy and Iditarod events. That way, the dog sled dogs dont get hurt on bad dirty snow.

We have them over here in northeast Pennsylvania. I'm sure you still get a lot more snow over there though.
