If you live there can you tell me do they dump the sewage water out to sea? I got that impression and am sure it happens all over the world but you would think the United States would be advanced enough to treat the water and to be able to handle heavy rains for it is common. It is a tragedy to pollute such beautiful beaches. Here in the Gulf Of Mexico they have warnings to post when raw sewage spills in. Shouldn't happen at any time. Good video for a rainy day.

It rained a couple of days when I was in Waikiki. I tried to make the best of it but it's sort of damaging to the psyche, especially since I was only there for 8 days.
I love Hawaii, the locals AND the ABC stores!!! They do the best take away sandwiches when us cheapskate tourist just want a quick bite!! GO ABC Stores, go HAWAII!!! See you in 27 days!! x

i was there for two of the weeks that it rained every day, we got a few rays of sunshine. but the rain didn't spoil our holiday, still the best holiday i've ever had. Best surfing too, i surfed when it was raining so the beach was empty apart from the local surfers.

You need lots of hot earth to get lightning. Not much of that in the islands. That is why the best electical storms are in the mid-west Endless prarie baking in the sun all day makes for pretty lightning all night.

It's still a great place even in the pouring rain. Hawaii is the best place on earth. The Hawaiian people and their culture are great!
