I don't actually like Tom Cruise or Jamie Foxx at all, but this is still my favourite movie of all time. Both of them put on the performances of their career, IMHO. Awesome film.
When talked with a friend about the movie he said me about the end :
"the last scene sucks, not in phase with the story: Vincent during whole movie is a beast, cold, unbeattable. And at the end Max who never fired with a gun kill him ?? With some random shots in dark ???........3 Lol I agrre a bit but one of my top 5 movie forever ^^

Given that he's well trained alright, ruthless yea, but did you see how much blood he'd lost already AND yet made it far enough FROM the back of a train to chase them to a standoff!? And the only reason why he STILL couldn't finish the job was cuz he dropped the mag b4 loading it (after taking 3 point-blank shots) & it was the just the WRONG KIND OF mag =D!

Wow... Tom really poured all of his acting skills into this character... Wonderful performance. This ruthless assassin, with an iron curtain around his real self. And at some points Tom's performance shows clearly how miserable and unhappy his existence really is. Like there is something hidden deep inside that tries to swim to the surface, fighting for air... A broken shell of a man. Like Darth Vader :D

The thing is, Sands was never shown fighting when his eyes were still intact. And remember, he defeated those two men blind not without suffering injuries in his limbs. And Sands is too cocky and proud for his own good like u implied, and yes I agree Vincent would win. He lost to Max cause he hesitated for a second and he didn't predict the light goes off.
And of course I was referring to Jean Reno, is there any other Leon I'm not aware of mate? Anyway, Leon vs Vince is huge.

The CIA sent him there because he was too dangerous, so there's a all story that we don't know, but one thing is for sure, he is one mean and smart guy... anyway, I would love to see Cruise vs Depp, that would be just perfect! Judging by the movie, Sands is incredibly dangerous for his ability to plot a plan using people more skillful or powerful than himself (which he did to El Mariachi cs). By being too dangerous, I think they weren't referring to his combat ability.
Vincent wasn't as cocky as Sands, mind u, he was injured in his head after Max shot him. Not to mention he just battled two dozen men which surely consumed his energy. And as I said, it's quite evident in the end Vincent hesitated.

someone explain 2:33 to me???? Continuity error??? First Lim's guard shoots at max and shoots some random korean guy. then a second later, Felix's main guard points his right hand to his bald accomplice that he missed and points to take out max. (who they think is vincent) then the laser comes on max and vincent shoots the bald guy working for felix. how would Lim's guards possibly know that Max is the supposed assassin vincent when only Felix's guys think that max in vincent??
and at the end of the movie, although tom was meant to be the bad guy, i thought he was the good guy, should have killed tht retard cabbie and only in movies cos of will smith girl.
This is pure masterpiece of Drama/Thriller genre. I like Tom Cruise but never found his acting versatile. In this film he showed brilliant/phenomenal acting. Real Tom Cruise.
Jamie Foxx, Jada Pinkett Smith and Mark Ruffalo were great too. I don't know why but this movie reminds me a little bit "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster. Final scenes were intriguing and just awesome
I just wondered how the h**l Vincent got out and pulled the car around so fast?????club scene is the best of the movie though, reminds me of the LA club scene.

Jamie Foxx, Jada Pinkett Smith and Mark Ruffalo were great too. I don't know why but this movie reminds me a little bit "The Brave One" with Jodie Foster. Final scenes were intriguing and just awesome
