@varonist unless you're here in los angeles it would be difficult for you since members around the area already find it difficult to come to rehearsals :)

OMG!!! Roger Oriel is my uncle!!! I'm NOT kidding. This is so cool. I was so excited when I found out about him owning Asian Journal and about the Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra.....wow......

Bravo FASO!! I've watched hundreds of concert ts in the Phil. but this one is soo cool hindi boring. I thought the media was just exaggerated because AJ owned the foundation but to my surprise sulit ang $78 ko. Congratulations to the founders!great job! great project! Mabuhay ang Filipino!!

How do you audition for this ensemble?? I might attend Colburn Conservatory when i graduate.
Also, do you have to be 100% filipino to be in the ensemble?? Im only half (mixed with Filipino and African-American blood) but i was born in Manila and lived there for three years before moving to the states. And i speak Tagalog fairly well.

makuletboy, in order to get into FASO you will need to contact our Conductor Bob Shroder.
You do not need to be 100% Filipino in order to join us. In fact I am a Filipino-Chinese American, and I am in the First Violin section!
We rehearse at Filipinotown in Los Angeles.
