they played records in the studio and record the vocal while playing with effects, thats why we hear Just-ice screaming " what the fuck is all this shit" at the end ;)
if you dont have a sub to hear this hit as hard as it does then I feel so bad for you :], go find someone with a bad ass sound setup to their comp and play this, and your neighbors will hate you haha :D
bradley nowell had great taste. he knew his reggae from this guy to winston reedy, "the dam, the jam, the clash, bradley will be there, dr feelgood too."
Krs One Made The Beat, But To Be Honest It Doesnt sound like a sample. krs made mad beats that sounded like this. keyboard beats. but i could be wrong. if anybody recognizes this as a sample i would kill to know what krs sampled to make the beat at 4:40. Diggers Stand up and drop knowledge
@JugglerOfMusic I've actually heard the beat before from an old reggae band off a mix artist album. KRSONE didn't really do a lot of reggae beats man. I can't think of any actually, he used reggae samples, and made hip hop beats.
So he deffinately sampled the reggae parts and just threw hip hop drum beats on top.I think the snare in that reggae piano progression could be added? The cuts deffinately are. It's a damn interesting mix. Damn interesting.
@JugglerOfMusic KRSONE did not make the beat, that beat is called the "agony riddim" produced by king jammy and its a jamaican dancehall beat from 1987, and the beat that you are hearing in 4:40 is called the kuff riddim produced by the same king jammy
@JugglerOfMusic@JugglerOfMusic the kuff riddim like many dancehall riddims of the 80's and early 90's was remade and reversioned by various labels, one of the definitive cuts and perhaps the first was by king jammy's studio, the kuff was really based on the structure of the earlier "diseases riddim" however also check out the many other versions by other record labels as well
@MARCSUX "Na Touch The Just" by Just Ice is track one, side two on the album "The Desolate One" If you looking for the LP the best place to find a pressing is ebay.

All of you, stop saying KRS made these beats. These are old Dancehall riddims, some used by Admiral Bailey. Look up "Big Belly Man".
