great movie ive had it for years on vhs and ive got it on dvd.

i read somewhere years ago i think it was gorezone that the allien factor was Deadly Spawn 2 dont know if thats true.

thats a good film aswell i only have that on vhs dont think its on dvd yet.

@blackreagan75 I still have my old VHS copy and it still works! VERY nice buildup of tension in the opening scene of this video, as the kid tries to escape from the creature. I also liked the intro, where they play that weird 50's era space music. Very fitting.

Weren't the special effects for this flick done by none other than Lucio Fulci (credited as "Louis Fulci")? The Deadly Spawn vs. graboids from Tremors. Both monsters that hunt by sound.

I have this movie on dvd and even the comic thing that you can acsess in the options menu. Its pretty sweet. First time I saw this I had a dream that those damn things were chasing me all over the place.

My cousin and i used to call this movie The Deadly Prawns!! We loved it and it actually scared us when we were kids,i would love to see part 2.Great ending!!!

When I was 15 back in the early 80's, there was this video store that had this. I rented it and it was truly a extremely gory movie. To bad they only show you a few mins of the film. The movie from beginning to end is extremely gory. This is a true B-run horror movie.

Actually, the kid's cool as hell. The alien doesn't have any eyes and therefore navigates by sound (sonar or whatever), and the kid knows this. That's why he stays calm in the scene. This movie movie is brilliant.

It was orginally titled RETURN OF THE DEADLY SPAWN...which really didnt make any sense since we werent privy to a first encounter. Classic shit though.

Saw that movie, it's got some dark humor in it. Old horror movies are scarier because they have low quality pictures and low quality lighting, it results into a unique scary atmosphere in my opinion.
