Coughing Fix: How to Suppress an Annoying Cough

I'm sure others have said this, but it's not good to suppress a cough. You're body is getting rid of the junk in your lungs. It sucks, but it's better to cough it out then let it sit in their clogging everything up. The same goes for sweat. When you use and anti-perspirent deodorant you're blocking your body from doing what it's supposed to--getting all the toxics out of your body. Why can't we just trust our bodies to do what they're meant to and get over it being an inconvenience.

Wow dark chocklate thats neat but on another video I saw that they had mentioned sugary food, candy or sodas weakens your immune system and makes the cold or flu over power you and spread faster.

Isn't it the point that you have to cough when your reflex's intitate a cough? A cough is my lungs removing debris from themselves, why would anyone want to stop that process? You can have a nasty cough for a while, or you can walk around with rotting debris clogging up your lungs, I know which one I'd prefer. And this is coming from someone that was kept up until 5am for two nights recently with a cough.

@rimfa123 There becomes a point where there is nothing coming up from the cough. I just had major congestion with a slight cough for 2 days. Then I didn't want it stopped now that the congestion is gone I want the cough to be less as well.

I tired the vicks on the feet. Absolute disinformation. Tired in on our 3 year old a month ago and now I have this fucking cough. It's called post nasal drip and there is absolutely NO CURE EXCEPT TIME. I've been up for 72 hours because of this fucking thing. I'm ready to kill myself.

I had a REALLY nasty cough recently and got less than 2 hours sleep at night for 3 days.

The Ginger tea helped.

The vicks on the feet (I put it on chest too) helped also.

However, neither stopped it immediately but I did notice a difference.

last night i drank some malt vinegar neat to try and help my throat but today i noticed my cough was considerably better......if that was just from the little bit of vinegar i drank i hail this stuff as a MAGIC medicine!!

Good info -thanks! Pressure points on the sole of our foot trigger other areas, and we have meridians that run throughout our body and end in our feet; maybe that's why rubbing menthol into those pressure points on the sole helps stifle a cough. When I push certain points in my foot, I can feel it in other parts of my body -reflexology works! Didn't know theobromine is good for common cough, though I heard chocolate is good for asthma -same principle. Yes, ginger root tea works wonders! : )

wow the dark chacolate?? i never knew that. yeah i just started getting sick this past tuesday. i stayed home for 2 days now and had fever and annoying cough. i really wantt to get rid of it. hate being sick.... yeah my boyfriend bought the vicks vapor and some cough drops. we see... getting better slowly but i want it to speed up the process.

there are still no studies on why vicks on feet work but they do.. they work wonders.. to be almost 100% cured put vicks on feet then cover with socks. after mix apple cider vintager with honey and boom.. your body is restored.
