  • Your performance is jaw dropping, bravo!

I only regret you lost the swing of the original, but I suppose it doesn't fit the barbershop style. Still, I would have been curious to hear how this arrangement sounds with a bit more swing to it.

    Regardless: clap, clap, clap!

  • Pitch dropped slightly throughout, but mostly at the last key change. Was still a good performance!

  • hehe, it's awesome

  • wow this song sounds great

  • awesome lol

  • Anyone know where I can find the sheetm usic for this?

  • @Sylvanas590 Google david wright.

  • BHS music catalog.

  • bbvd arrangement, he.

  • That's the sound of great barbershop.

  • It's more like pitch modulation. Most quartets use this technique to avoid pitch drop. So basically... same note, but different tuning.

2:01- Bass says something about not having a banana?

  • Watch the other version of the same song by Vocal Spectrum performed on a different occasion and you'll understand about the banana!!! Quite funny!!!

    x

  • "Sorry, I don't have a banana."

Every other time he eats a banana and spits it at Tim.

  • I was comparing this video and another video where they are singing the same song. The one from there finals set the year they won, the ending chord seems to be higher than the ending chord in this one. I wonder if they were doen a half step in this video. What does everyone else think? Am I crazy?

  • You're not crazy, they do end lower than they do in the competition video than they do here. However, you'll notice they start in the same key that they do in the other video so throughout the song somewhere, they fell about a half step flat. Not a biggie tho! Happens to all the singers and groups out there!

  • yeah lol. when my quartet (and i'm not at all comparing us to VS) finishes right on pitch, we get soooo happy. i find it really hard to stay right on top of it! I'm not sure where it happened though? maybe when chris speaks into the mic about not having a banana? sick video though, they're easily my fav. quartet.

  • at least they stayed together and ALL went flat!

  • What does the bass say at 2:01?

i can't quite hear what he says.

  • "Sorry I don't have any bananas right now." He's referring to the act they did at that part when they won in Indy.

  • thank you. I just got into them, so i didn't see that act. it makes soo much more sense now.

  • Amazing as always. VS one of my most favourite quartets ever

  • Tim's F# is amazing. I can only hit an F =(

  • lol i know! i'm a bass-bari; i've only got a D#

  • bari? im not trying to be an ass but isnt a D# kinda low for a bari? just curious, I have a pretty large range I am a Bass but I think I can clear an F.

  • it is an F so your just in luck

  • I can hit the sameF# :P we tried the tag (the one in the ending) with our quartet.

  • how did it go ?

  • the tag was ok... after one hour of practising and time spent individually at home...

  • I saw these guys perform this at Slamkafest, 2006; they performed it, of course, flawlessly.

  • "I Wanna be Like You"

  • THX!
