What the fuck would you spend money on mining water on the moon, when its on earth....the moon has no atmosphere. Now after slamming a 75 million dollar rocket into the moon.. was it worth it?
Crap. I tryed all the diffrent ways of getting around the ad. Stopdownload, fullscreen to 480, F5 and firefox flashblock plugin. All fail.
You have to wait for at least 3 minutes of the video to load up so a 15seconds ad can load up WHILE the video is loading at the SAME time. Kind of a dumb new system Utube implemented if you ask me.
So much for trying to watch anything from CBSnewsonline.
I got other stuff to complain about but i only got 16 characters remaining.
no we don't want moon water. we want water up there so we can make another civilization on the moon. with water that means we can live there. underground living or above ground living quarters with plants etc
dude jimmycarol100 your so fucking stupid its not even funny NASA is building the road to future space technology every launch is a sign of humans migration out into our universe its absolutely amazing how far we have come I support everything they do its the people who work for NASA that make me proud to be human.. we are bad ass .... also you tube a new space propulsion they developed called "VESIMER" short for variable specific magneto plasma rocket yeah that's right a ION engine
@icefactor2242 Since the closest probably earth like planet is Gliese 581g and its 20.5 light years away, using current rockets and lunar craft it would take about 4 million years to get their. So genius, what should we be developing faster vehicles or wonder if there's water on the moon, since to travel 4 mil miles nothing on the moon matters, unless its a giant spaceship like David Icke says. Notice how I did'nt use any negatives to educate you. Peace
79 million dollars, and after it hit they claim it kicked up a dozen 2 gallon buckets. Thats almost 3.3 million dollars per gallon of moon water, that we (taxpayers) did'nt even get to sniff. Hell, I wish Obama would tell'em to close NASA. I mean ask yourself=What has NASA done for us lately? All they do is launch spy-satellites(on us) and go thru tax money without any recompense like the IRS. Least we can watch C-SPAN & see our elected official act.
the most important thing we as a civilization can do is progress into technology. in my opinion we should try to destroy all terrorists and then stop making weapons of mass destruction and use all the money for space mission. maybe spend more money in research into the theory of traveling speed of light so we can get to some of these planets that may have life but are too far away for a typical rocket to get to in our lifetime
@jmyjms86 I agree with you. Since they found that earth like planet Gliese 581 a couple months ago and its 20.5 light years away and with current techno. it would take about 4 million years to get there, Even at light speed thats still 20.5 years and how long will it take if ever to travel that fast. Peace
no no there are theories that indicate it may be possible to bend space and time and that traveling at speeds way past the speed of light is possible. basically we needs to figure out a way to make a saucer like spacecraft that pulsates enough electro magnetic energy that it in essence becomes weightless to gravity. imagine how much easier it would be to push a spacecraft that weighs nothing
@jmyjms86 Just remove the Monetary System as well as the idea of money and technology will be able to advance faster. Look at The Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement if you havent done so. It shows a real technological advancement.
Ya know ya think the morons would have checked for water on the moon 40 years ago. Seems to me it should have been one of the 1st things they would have done. Since we didn't go to the moon then, and still can't go they make up this b.s.
Excuse me but who governs this private agency. If we could blast the moon (which we can't), I don't think the NASA idiots should be doing anything without consulting with everybody else. These guys gotta go. My mission: Take NASA down.
I think this is a great idea because what if something did happen to the eartH? well we'd want someplace to live, so why not a place where there is water and we can get food. I LOVE THIS IDEA! you guys are all pessimists
No we shouldn't water on earth is in abundance there is more water on earth than land. humans as a civilization are now classified as a class 0. out of 3 classes. we need to set up base at the moon not just for water but also helium 3 which is a non nuclear waste form of energy perfect for earths energy problems and couldn't sustain our energy needs for thousands of years by just bringing one rocket ship full back to earth.
@BigBottleLightInc in 4 billion years if we are not extinct we would be on other planets...by then the moon will be alot farther away from earth. And plus if earth is close enough to get burned the moon would be closer since it orbits the planet. THINK!
If there's water on the moon then there is atmosphere, NASA already knows there water on the moon and that it has a blue breathable atmosphere but they keep us in the dark about this. And now they want to start their next step in moving to the moon by making like they are just now discovering water on the moon.
metors hit the moon all the time, there impact was bigger than the "bomb" its self. youve lived through thousands of impacts and you wernt scard any of those times were u?
we should chang the moon to a bleu and green gust like earth so we can live on the moon.

1969 Nasa lands men on the moon.
2009, 40 years later, Nasa can't even show decent images of the crash.
We should already have live images on the moon 24/7... we did not land on the moon in 1969.

yes we did. Myth Busters proved it. They doubted it but than Nasa sent them REAL pictures.

In case they havent noticed. the earth is covered in over 87% water.
:P
*sighs* its not hidden under the surface, its supposedly tucked away in a crater, where the sun never shows.
lamo nice animation, but the orbiter will pass hoizontally through the cloud and not vertically into it.
check your faqs, but seeing as this is CBS im not suprised you report it as fact before checking it out as the ultimate truth.
