they way i see it, jim morrison was part of the doors. the doors shouldnt have continued and replaced jim. Like joy division after ian curtis. they changed to new order. they should have kept the doors as the band with jim. if they wanted to keep playing music chnge the name.
Bought this album used at It's Only Rock and Roll in NYC, 1990. It was a good effort, but as Ray said in an interview, The Doors were John, Ray, Robbie and Jim. Full Circle was pretty much a Full Circle Jerk.....
I'm going to run to the "packy" and buy 3 large bottles of Arbor Mist and continue to explore the Post Jim Morrison Doors which aren't too bad. Maybe, when Jim told them, before leaving for Paris, that they might have a couple Blues Albums left in them, they did just that. I wonder if their for sale! Dan O'Niallain, Grafton, Ma.

never heard this song ever.. and my dad hass i think most of them and he always played it on days we cleaned the house,,, love this song it has just become my favorite song,, love you jim rest in peace see you soon brotherr..
I see a lot of people saying all these post-morrison songs "dont sound like the Doors". I think they sound like the Doors because they ARE the Doors. People are just used to hearing Jim's voice. If you focus on the music and not the voice, it sounds like The Doors to me.
jim morrison is not singing on this album... but in 1971 when it came out i was a teenager and the bluesy, musical 5ths were what i listened to over and over during my adolescent "down" time. great for bringing me back to that young time in my life
they just turned into a very average blues band after Jimbo died, not terrible music, a few gems in there somewhere, but my god, where did they come up with some of the song titles, and you could imagine this one on a chessy show like Kojak or something????
One of the songs on this album ends w/ F*ck a Duck as the song fades out. Can't seem to find it here as it may have been removed somewhere along the way. Anybody know what song I'm talking about? Thx!
But I know, the rumor is Robbie and/or ray wrote this song for L.A. Woman but Jim disagree it, so they finally made it for "Other Voices". Really don't know the truth.
I heard that too and then read it in this one Doors book at my library at school. And Lets face theres plenty good chance that Jim has sung this song, whethere theres a tape I dont know haha
on wikipedia i read that they had been rehearsing a few songs with Jim before he went to Paris. Ray said that Down On The Farm had already been written before Jim left to Europe.
this is good but they could form a new band with another name.
like joy division became new order after their lead vocalist died

Morrison vocals and lyrics added to this would make it something... as it is, it really doesn't work for me.

It's much more carefree because Jim was the dark part of The Doors. Still impeccable talent.

Wow, was Jim importent to completing The Doors. I'm surprised they had the nerve to keep the same name after listening to this.

jim rejected this song for LA Woman. Robbie and Ray did a good job with it.
