I've always thought Robin Flew Away was better than Robin Layed An Egg as Away rhymes with Joker Got Away (well, I suppose it would). The word Egg prevents that. If you're singing Batmobile Lost A Wheel (which rhymes) instead if Batmobile Got A Flat (which I recall singing in the playground) then you might as well have as many rhymes as possible, especially as your new lyrics all rhyme and fit so well.

Just a suggestion for when you release it as a single.
