Home Improvement Expert????....quite the suspect claim once we see him pouring a dry mix into the hole, adding water and then poking it with a stick.
I have been in the fence installation business for over 30 years and that is NOT how you pour a footing. You should always mix your concrete with water thoroughly, prior to placing it in a hole.
It's videos like this that perpetuate the myth that this is the proper way to mix concrete. Shame on you Lowes.
for a 4' fence set the terminal posts at 4'3" set the line posts at 46". dont buy the lowes junk the pipe and chainlink are thin grade materials. you can get contractor grade materials through a fence company for the same price or cheaper. Welded gates are much better than them junk bent frame gates. If your setting the posts in clay type soil dont put gravel at the bottom of the hole. no need to use those stupid braces.
@jg8479 he makes it look so easy lol. i just spent 4 hours on 6 holes chipping thru solid shale. at least that will make the post stronger with the concrete incased around the solid shale

@infinityfence LOL i was just thinking about that as he did it... no way that water penetrated to the bottom of the mix near the base...

@infinityfence It's called dry-set buddy. More common back east where it's really wet. You can mix it right in a hole, cures A LOT faster.
