  • Pretty cool, but I feel as though it could have been so much better if you refined the lead voice.

  • Can't. Stop. LISTENING!

  • This is instantly one of my favorite octavia tracks. soooooo good.

  • Love that d'n'b intro just as in our song :D and I didn't hear a combination of these two elements before! Liking that!

  • Is anyone else getting the "502 Bad Gateway" error when they try to download it?

  • @silencer9031 Another download added, check the description. :)

  • @CommandSpry

You just made my day, thank you!

  • I lol'd at the end.

  • SHES ON FIRE! YEAH!!!

  • FOR THE GLORY OF THE NEW LUNAR REPUB...

    Whoops, wrong video.

  • @TheNathvar Don't you mean wrong side? :)

  • @CommandSpry Nope. Celestia is a power mongering tyrant! Luna is the true princess.

  • @TheNathvar Surely you're kidding me, good sir!

  • @CommandSpry No kid. A good Lunar soldier never kids with the enemy!

  • @CommandSpry ALL HAIL CELESTIA!

  • @CommandSpry Ever look into the legends? Each one of them is built on lies, me and my team have found that the positions were actually switched; Luna was in the right and Celestia went insane. Luna took the monster in herself and when she was about to destroy it, she was banished to the moon.

    TL;DR: [flamewar] comment section [/flamewar]

  • @MuzzledElk secrets and lies, it's all secrets and lies with these ponies!

  • INSTASUB!

  • ......Woah...Now this....This Is Just Perfect.Its Makes me think

Two ponies.....Vinyl Scratch and Octavia.Preforming a show..For the Whole of Equestria. The princess where even there!.Octavia Was Playing so Smooth yet So Fast. There was a few drops of sweat that ran down her forehead. But she Played on Keeping the beat with Vinyl. She threw back her Mane as she Played faster.

  • Now, this is some epic shit. Subbed.

However (There is always a however. ;D), there are just a few nit picks i thought i would tell you.

To me, the background "chords" gets a bit repetitiv. But, you managed to hide that with a clever use of awesome melodies, so that's not a problem what so ever. Worth mentioning tough.

Secondly and lastly, the ending is a bit abrupt.

But eh, nit picking. All of my songs have the misstakes i mentioned above, so no biggie.

    Epic song. Over and out.

  • @hjortan The ending is abrupt because I saw the duration and was like, I don't want to extend this any further and the listener's patience is pretty much at the peak at this point, it's better to end the tune on a very strong point than drag it on for full 6 minutes and have a boring anti-climactic ending.

Your music is the shit, remember me when you go big ! :D

  • @CommandSpry

I see. You make a good point. ^^

Haha, thanks! Don't worry however. If i ever go big, i'm pretty sure you'll be just as big. Your music is terrific. So, keep it up, i want to hear more from you!

  • @hjortan Awesome :)

And you're sort of in luck, just released another tune. Cheers! :)

  • TL;DR INSTA-FAVORITE

  • I saw Octavia, and I decided to listen. I was not disappointed. Great job! A great string VST would be LA Scoring Strings. It's expensive as balls, but I'm sure you could find some OTHER way to get at it ;) You'll also need Kontakt. Also easy to get. It serves as a house for the sound libraries in LA Scoring Strings. Also, I started typing this midway through the song. Now that it's done I'd like to congratulate you on this epic piece. It's adventurous, and that's the kind of orchestral I adore.

  • @CaptainFluffatun Thanks! I've downloaded LA Scoring strings, the most worthless 50GB I downloaded in my life :) It just didn't work with kontakt; the audio was so muffled and most of the time coming from only my left headphone. But I've found Edirol Orchestral as a perfect replacement, the strings are, aside from real, also very expressive and modifiable, unlike Kontakt which binds you to an octave :D

  • I just realized how well stringed instruments go with DNB

  • Hello person I do not know.

You have an awesome song. One I would like to use as a background for a rap I'm attempting. However, I would love your approval of usage before I go off doing as such.

Should I be approved, I will give credit to you and a link to send those curious back here.

  • @crumpton4 Sure mate, it'd be great :) Tell me if you need any assistance (project files, modified melodies, no Pinkie, EQ, etc.)

  • @CommandSpry Thank you for allowing it. The beat is great as is, but if anything comes up, I'll be sure to get in contact with you.

  • Pretty damn awesome.

  • i shall call it, drum and string! :D

  • Me gusta Octavia

  • @MrAmaster102 Bueno

  • @CommandSpry O dang i forgot to like this video as well! Annnnd corrected

  • this is a very epic song i love it also congrats on getting it on eqd /)(\

  • So... epic... must... resist... exploding...!

  • The background is very similar the album cover of Yngwie Malmsteen's "Fire and Ice". Though this is less face-melting than Malmsteen.

  • DSK Strings is good for realistic strings.

  • @FimbulinAndron thanks for the recommendation, I've been able to find a good orchestral VST :D

  • This is epic. It seems to be impossible for you to release anything that I don't have to download Immediately. Also, Octavia. 3

  • @pokemonfan000 Eh, I'm honored then ^^ I spent a lot of time working on it, finished it in a month finally and I just hope more people would hear, but you can't have everything can you now. I'm unsure if I'm gonna make another very soon, but I'll try. Have fun,

  • I actually prefer this to elements of harmonics. Subbed.

  • I'm really lovin' this, keep it up!

  • I can see some improvement in what you've got going on here, nice job. Still, if you want better strings, LA Scoring Strings is where it's at.

  • @ApplejackTheEngineer Thanks, yes I'd like to get that, but it's too big and I'm downloading a few files at the moment, maybe later :) The problem with these strings is that, although they are good to mix with each other, you don't have the feeling that they are being strummed, there is no beginning to each note. I am hoping to get LA Scoring soon :) Cheers, -CS

  • Very nice! I always liked upbeat strings combinations, and you did a great job!

As for the metal song in tags, I've no idea. Maybe something from Manowar, they always liked kings... Then again, half the heavy/power metal scene sings about kings, fantasy and similar stuff...
