Personally, I prefer softer voices than this as I believe it suits Mulan better. This is why I prefer the song in Cantonese than in my Mother language of Mandarin or than in Japanese.

I'm sorry; I have really not been impressed by any of the Japanese dubs of the Mulan songs. The rhythm works a lot better than in Honor To Us All, but this time it's the singer :I I'm retarded at critiquing music, but it's like there's parts in the chorus where she holds the same sound when she should be varying it a little. The Lea Salonga version is still my favorite, but Coco Lee did a great job in the Mandarin one, too.

Is the singer's name Itou Eri, by any chance? Wiki says that she's Mulan's singing voice in the Japanese version... not sure if it's true.

Whoever the singer is, she sure does a great job! =]
