N2N forever. It desearves to be on Broadway much longer than it's alotted run. We as fans need to help revive this timeless musical. It is too powerful, too real, too good to be shut down. It recieved unanimous standing ovations consistantly. Just because it wasn't produced by Webber doesn't mean it should be close after just shy of 2 years.

Most ridiculous harmonic progressions EVER! I mean come on. That last "There Will Be Light" gives me goosebumps every time, and listen to Alice belt that high E. Amazing. Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey are geniuses.
I'll never forget the experience of seeing this show, although this brilliant production is closing after this last tour is over. I love this show so fucking much, but it will always live on in my memory. I LOVE N2N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a hopeful closing, I love this song.
The music here is so brilliant (pun intended) that it's too bad that the cloying lyrics miss the point. "When we learn to live our lives / sons and daughters / husbands wives / and fight that fight / there will be light" LOLWUT? That's not inspiring; that's just stupid.
@LessInspiredThan I have to disagree-- Its "when we OPEN up our light/sons and daughters/ husbands, wives/ CAN fight that fight"...its suppose to be about finally accepting who you are (however crazy or eccentric or understanding that you still need some work ) and being able to go on with life...i think that is inspiring.

MAYBE I'm crazy, but for some reason, I think this would be a crazy good contemporary choral arrangement................Seriously. With solos and all, but still with mostly chorus...... hmmm..... That would be so fun xD
@mmmchingawa It has a couple of very good choral arrangements. my choir director is obsessed with this musical so both my school's show choir as well as the concert choir have done a medley of the songs from next to normal. light is one of them. i think at one part we have six part harmony in this section.
@mmmchingawa I like that idea. But mostly because I want to learn this song so bad! But I agree, it would be an awesome choral song, if you added maybe some vocal underscoring during the solo work. Who knows? Maybe someone amazing arranger will answer our prayers!
Just got second row center tics in November and I'm absolutely beside myself excited!! Theyll all be at the edge of the stage at the end of this song. AAAAAAAAAHHHH! Saw it last month from the mez and it was astounding!! Cant freaking wait!!

As sad as this ending is, I don't think you could do anything else with it. This is no doubt one of the best, if not THE best show on broadway today.
