@17thwonder Coconoil is much more resistant to turning rancid at high temps than other fats and oils, we cook at high temps with ours. But that being said, I can't guarantee that it won't turn rancid. But you have to cook with something and this is the best option. But where possible I would say you're right cook at lower temps.
@Perfume4Eva It's not quite that cut and dry. Building lean muscle mass depends on many things, how you live your life, what you eat, when you eat, how you train, the variables within your training programme. So to be honest it is not about taking a specific substance just to build lean mass, it realy depends on many aspects.
@purebodybalance Thank you for replying. =) I guess I should have phrased my question as something you can take to assist in building lean muscle mass. I definitely agree with you that there are many factors that come into play. I have been switching between green tea suppliments and tonalin CLA since 2005. My system is very sensitive so there are many suppliments than I can't take so I was considering the coconut oil since it is natural.
@purebodybalance No... I'm not taking them at the same time. It is what I have switched between since 2005. Right now I take tonalin after I eat and before I workout to assist in fat burning and to speed up my metabolism. I have a blood condition so that is why I can't take too many suppliments. Especially the ones that cause heart palpitations.
@Perfume4Eva Why are you trying to increase you metabolism? Who told you it was slow, and by what assessment protocol? If you are having problems losing weight then going after your metabolism with weight loss aids, I don't beleive is the way. Get your health right first and the rest will follow. You don't loose weight to get healthy, you get healthy to loose weight. If you want a complimentary consult mail me and we can arrange a time.
@purebodybalance It seems the market here in the US is still flooded with products for men wanting to gain mass and "bulk up". There aren't enought products for women that help you stay lean with no weight gain and no side effects.
@Perfume4Eva Yep and most of them are crap! Just because someone has a great physique on the outside doesn't mean they are healthy on the inside, there are many sick / fit people in this country too. My advise to you, is forget the cheap shake markets and focus on real health, if you want a good product to build you up, check out Greatlakes Gelatine it's in the US.
@purebodybalance I completely agree 100%! Thank you so much for the great advice and the chat. You are very kind and I wish you the best in all you do. =)
I have just purchased this from Ebay i plan to use this for my hair as a conditioner and growth stimulator and also for my skin, how do you reccomend i store the tub? because i will want to use it on my scalp over night and then as a moisturizer.
@BeccaLisaDee Hi, good question, I personally just store it in the cupboard. It tends to be runny due to the heat but that makes it easier to use. In the winter its much harder but put the pot in some warm water and this softens it up. I wouldn't keep it in the fridge as it then becomes super hard! Its great for a conditioner and skin moisturiser, especially after a gentle exfoliation. As for hair growth stimulant, I couldn't say, - (continued) -
I don't understand how to cook with coconut oil, let's say I want to use it to make eggs in the morning what do I do?

@17thwonder Hi, just treat it like butter. add a little to a pan, let it melt and then add your eggs from there, easy. Hope this helps.

@purebodybalance I will give it a try. I also heard that you should cook it a low temperature so it doesn't boil away the beneficial fatty acids?

Would this be ideal to take for building lean muscle mass?

@Perfume4Eva First off, what reason are you taking green tea and tonalin CLA? Second why is your 'system' so sensitive?
