  • I have only played the Amiga version. The C64 version looks and sound amazing, wich one is the best version YouTubers?

  • wonder why the ninja never came prepared, always looking up for weapons... atleast he's not tying up tampax to make nunchucks like the last one.

  • i LOVE (!!!!) the atmosphere of the old c64 games.... this is so amazing

i dont know how to describe it but its simular with reading a book and seeing the film adaption afterwards...nothing can compare with the imagin in your head

  • I love the gritty graphics to this game... really add to the whole atmosphere and feel of the game. This was an absolute masterpiece back in the day... still a great game to play now (and VERY hard). Shame the newer generation of gamesplayers never grew up around games like this...

  • why the picture looks like a frog that has been ran over.? like puaaaaargh just like that

  • funny how it sounds but i used to love how the screens drew the graphics on these last ninja series on the c64

  • fI you download the "OST" from, say, fonix.dyndns.org:40000/soasc/ , you can listen to all the 10 tracks just like that. There's tons of variation, emotions and everything. A masterpiece!

  • This game some of the most fantastic music on the C64 ever. I've understood Reyn Ouwehand was like 18 when he created this stuff? That's totally crazy!

  • Fantastic game!! why oh why is there not a new version of this xbox 360 or even PSP! brilliant game

  • Brings back good memories, i was realy hooked on those games the.

  • the only original box game i buyed in my life, it was something like 30 usd

  • i have this game and all the other ninja games there the best for c64,also i read on a last ninja fansite that they made a fifth ninja and he was all dressed in white but they never released the game, also few years ago they were gonna release a last ninja for ps3 and xbox but it never happened

  • Didn't know the C64 could do a stunning intro like that! I mean, surely an Amiga could but a C64? Too bad they didn't do more intros like this for the C64 :(

  • super game

  • Probably the best intro and one of the best Soundtracks of any C-64 game. I never played this one as often as part 2 cause i did´nt had any cheats for more lives^^, and these games was quite hard any wrong jump was dead...:S very interesting to see some did pass it with success ;-)

  • Weird thing I never played this game... Thanks for showing me what this game was actually about! :-)

  • @ReynOuwehand -

Thanks for commenting! I absolutely love the music from this game, I still catch myself humming it from time to time.

Got the Nexus CD too... love Asian Legends :)

  • @laffer35 Asian Legends was god tier.

That whole album was awesome though. It was, like, the first disc that interpreted C64 music as real music, and not the techno turd every other remixer did for a long time.

  • @rorirub

    Yeah it's a great album!

  • @rorirub

Why the animated sequence is not there in my cassette?

  • A lot of thanks for the great music in this game :D

  • @ReynOuwehand

You did the music and never played it? I cant believe :)

  • Whoa, nice intro. Did any other c64 games even have an intro of this caliber?

  • @rorirub not really, this is a very exceptional case :)

  • @rorirub ha..no NEVERRRRR

  • I never knew that there was third part at all

  • The C64 last ninja games had amazing graphics, especially compared to the early C64 titles. I'm still amazed at what programmers could squeeze out of limited technology.

  • Man, this game had such great atmosphere. The gameplay wasn't anything special, but the five levels - each devoted to an element, and the superb music made for an immense atmosphere. Mystical game.

  • I loved this game. The Intro was sooo cool!

  • this game made me want to be a ninja when i got older.

  • yes and it also made me very disappointed when i had to grow up to realize it wasn't a very likely career choice :(

  • Well, look at the bright side: you can be a programmer or a graphics designer instead...:)

  • best intro and music I´ve seen on the c64, amazing

  • The last Last Ninja game??

  • for some reason i love the music on this version then the one on amiga

  • Fantastic intro! Graphics and music in this were all top notch, but

the rest was kind of uninspired and there was some pretty bad design choices.

  • OMG reminds me of my childhood...me and my brother sitting ad waiting for the game to be loaded...haha with no game guide and no website to find hints we managed to finish this game! a little trick! if you open you joystic and push UP and DOWN at a same time, ninja will scroll in the scene and by this way u can pass the fence for the exit gate without any troupl in the Dungeon mission....yeah no need for key and blower! cause blower will be miss if you game over in that mission.

  • vendetta, turbocharge, flimbo's quest, tusker, dominator, the last nija's, bangkok knights, IK+, Myth..... theses are some of the best games ever on the c64, all by system 3. Hail system 3

  • completed all 3 back in the day.Fantastic groundbreaking games, system 3 were in a word.....awesome.

  • Great series, great music, great memories...

  • i played last ninja on nes it was ok controls a lilbit sluggy and u couldnt tell wat to jump on!!! like the river part w/the boats i keept falling

  • The best intro and music ever for the C64. I played all 3 ninja games and finished them all! what a joy! no other game has given me such joy!

  • best game ever

  • Best Intro and Music in 8 Game ever!!!..I played this game on my c64 back in 1991,,Today i downloaded this game for my Wii..I still rocks!!!

  • the music is very good for such an old game. If only some games today were made like this. Intro is amazing! I love this game soo much, thanks for the walkthrough and its amazing how you completed it in about 30 mins...

  • C64 games have some kind of mysterious abstract graphic style - I like it.

  • One of the best Intros for C64/C128

No the best!!! (2.Zack McCracken, 3.Pirates,

    4. Maniac Mansion, 5. Defender of the Crown)

  • Awesome intro. You must really like the C64/ Amiga since you uploaded quite a lot of vids on those. Keep em coming. :)

  • u gotta love what they managed to do with the c64...check out psytrance/goa versions of c64 music

  • It is not the same sound chip in all C64, therefore, it may sound like it's not C64. This version has the best sound of all c64.

  • This is the Last Ninja 3 From C64 not Amiga 500, I think personally that the C64 version is a better Amiga, but of course, is the graphics and sound better on the Amiga Hardware. I've played C64 and Amiga and missions carried out not quite the same, you both 2.

  • Isn't it astounding how much better the C64-version looks, sounds and feels compared to the Amiga version?

  • Yeah, I agree with you. And why in the world did they reoplace the intromusic...?

  • I love the music at the intro to this game.

  • Great Intro-Music

  • I recorded the music thru audacity :) If anybody has webspace to upload it somewhere, let me know ^^

  • i have at rapidshare :)

  • megaupload /?d=DLN9P2RQ

  • Why to record it when it's already available on sid*oth4*com ?

  • didnt know back then m8 ;D

  • Loved LN 1&2 but never played this one on C64, I think i'd bought an Amiga by then.

  • Thanks so much for this, awesome job.

  • What's your favourite version laffer, 1,2 or 3?

  • Yay i looked for this i was never able to finish first level :D

  • best game ever made CLASSIC

  • great! is there the intro music for download somewhere?

  • yes, look at lemon64 u can listen online or download it from there. Hmmm, on that page, the first comment is from laffer! is that the same guy who posted this vid or coincidence?

  • That would be the same guy ;)

Sorry for the.. *very* late reply :D

  • best game all times...

  • Nice years ago. Very good.

  • I still can't understand how they made the SID music chip make this awesome music.I mean the SID chip was created in 1981 I believe and the composers managed to make brilliant music on it.The intro to LN3 still impresses me 16 years later.

  • It was an analog synth on a chip designed by Bob Moog, that's why. :)

  • Bob Yannes, actually. ;)

  • SNAP!! You're right!! I realized that like an hour after I posted it. Bob Yannes was the guy who founded Ensoniq, right?

  • I'll add moe of my thoughts on LN3:

    Awesome music

    Best graphics on the C64

Most well thought out and lenghly levels

    Awesome Intro

    Actually Had an ending

    Have a nice day :)

  • The best and only game that hasnt really aged badly on the C64! Great speedrun!

  • It's not a speedrun, it's a longplay. The difference is that I'm only trying to finish the game, I'm not trying to finish it as fast as possible.

    But thanks :)

  • You shouldnt have explained! You had me fooled :D

  • The intro of this game is so amazing! This is an epic! I love it so much, and I really miss the Commodore 64 times!

  • thx dude :) ı was be happy :)

  • classic game - takes me back to my youth

  • brilliant i havent seen this in years,
