The criteria for God is "Belief" If you believe you will be saved. You can be a milti-millionair and be a Christian. you can also not have anything and be viewed exactly the same by God if you believe. The passage you refer to ie "road will be narrow" has nothing to do with the number of saved people. It has more to do with how hard it is to be a christian.
