Did it to one TV when I was little. The "magnet stain" went away after 24 hours. Other TV's I tried it on since messed them up permanently! I even ruined a MegaTouch game machine at some bar because I stuck a magnet up to it. Two weeks later it was still there and the bartender said,"Looks like someone stuck a magnet up to it. We need to replace it." My (ex) father in law's TV he threw out because my (ex) wife and I fooled around with a magnet! He just thought the TV's picture was going! lol
