  • What's the background music from? It sounds like a forties showtune song.

  • females almoust never coo and bow

  • I had these things oh man I use to HATE it when they do this at night!!!! Dx

But they like to chill on my shoulder :D

  • These sounds sound like they should be accompanied by the wave.

    "WooOoOOoOOoooOOo!"

  • what does the "laughing" sound mean ?

  • Cont'd.. I really want a male. My dove only lays an egg once every 3 months so to see if the Pet Store Dove will lay one passes the return policy. Yes it would be nice to have more then one. I did! I had 12.(The Deciples) only they were ALL female :( nice video!

  • I bought my Dove 4 years ago. I was told it was a male until 6 months later it laid an egg by herself. So I changed its name from Jude(after Saint Jude-Doves representing the Holy Spirit) to Judy... lol But, I was told you can only tell them apart my blood and if they lay an egg or not. Pet Store only gives you 30 days to return them.

  • Oh wow, when this video first played, it stated, best alarm clocks ever...omg! you are right! I just bought two doves, one white and one ring neck, and did not know they coo at 6am. Guess I don't have to worry to set an alarm clock...lol

  • i take it the bird on the corner to the left apointed himself as head of the pack :D

  • Oh my god that's hilarious, the two males are trying to show who is more dominate over each other there. I have a male ring neck dove and he continually wakes me up early morning, but its okay because I need to be up at that time anyways! This is great though, I laughed pretty hard!

  • What is bow cooing because my rednecked doves do the same thing, does it have a special meaning?

  • I have a 16 year old ringneck who is very lonely & when he hears this it cheers him up. I like the music too. Your birds are adorable & look very content & happy.

  • Where did u get them? i have female and she layed eggs and i know theres nuthin in them so where do u think i can get a male?

  • what time in the morning do they wake you up at?

  • play this for my doves, who are exact same colors. They were badly attacked by my female parakeet about 10 days ago. Near death, but have been doing much better. Eating & grooming & starting to climb. But they seem to have lost their voices. No vocalizations at all. Hope to kickstart the singing. House is unbearably quiet w/o their beautiful sounds.

  • My roommates and I used to have a couple of doves...we'd let them fly around the house, and the one would make a sound that we translated thusly:

    *takes off in flight*

    "Shit-shit-shit-shit-shit-shit!"

    *land*

That one and the Lovebird were the best of pals... :)

  • I want to eat them, ill have a roasted dove for dinner.

  • thanx. now i can differ a male and female and start a new dove family

  • they are so cute i LOVE Doves i have 4 Doves and they coo every day!!!

  • One sounds like a dove and the other almost sounds like a rooster. They're very beautiful! I had a pair that raised several babies together, 1 to 2 at a time.

  • is this like.... 2 males trying to get the same female?

  • Sounds like a morning in my house lol.

  • waking up to this would scare me to death LOL

  • I wanna use them for magic tricks.

  • I just brought some rescued Ringneck doves home today and played them this video, which they really responded to. Cooing, laughing- I feel likes it's been helping them acclimate to their new home- thanks!

  • I love their laughs sounds way different than mine.

  • I need help! i have two males and they're always fighting. So do u have any trick to make them stop?

By the way, you're birds are so cute! =3

  • Cock-a-doodle-dooooooo! Cock-a-doodle-dooooo! 8P

Somehow the music helped make this a good video!

  • 0:08 What??? I never heard mourning dove laughinf like this, ha ha!

  • absolutely beautiful...are the males the only ones that flutter their wings? I was sold a tangerine dove as a female but she flutters her wings and bobs her head real low to my other dove...the other dove is a mourning dove that just sits there...supposedly, the mourning dove is supposed to be the male..he just sits there ignoring my tangerine dove...

  • @petunias212 @petunias212 When I first bought my doves the store supposedly gave me a male and female. When I took them home, it was apparent they had given me two males. The males are the only ones that flutter as a sign of courtship. The females will coo just as loud as a male, but the male is the only one who will bow-coo. Both male and female will take turns at incubating the nest. Plus, females will lay eggs everyday with or without a male present. If your dove lays eggs, it's female. :)

  • @NewSpeakproductions then it's official...i have two males....thanks for all the info!! :)

  • @NewSpeakproductions Not true. I have a brown male ringneck dove and a female pigeon pair, and the female pigeon flutters her wings ;)

  • @NewSpeakproductions she laid an egg a few days after my posting this..so she is a female but her mate flew away so she's alone now :( I did however get two white doves...the white female dove is friendly and gets along well with my tangerine dove...but the white male that is paired up with the white female dove..boy, he's mean..if the tangerine dove gets anywhere near him he pokes her head and flutters his wing in her face...or he flies over to where she is and does the same thing..meanie!

  • @NewSpeakproductions

Well... I heard females sometimes bow-coo to other females if there is no male around... apparently they can also form same sex couples. o.o maybe the other person has 2 females.

  • @NewSpeakproductions my ringed nexk turtledove flutters her wings and she lays eggs...

  • Beautiful Birds !

  • OMG I HAVE A FEMALE NAMED sOPHIE AND A MALE NAMED sONNY WHO RECENTLY HAD A BABY WE NAMED lUCKY, AND THEY MAKE THE EXACT SAME NOISE

  • The song in the back round reminds me of jeepers creepers

  • my dove is a tangerine ringneck and he has a grey collar around his neck and so does his chicks anyone know why??? HELP!

  • well they're not fighting, but all that bow coo is confrontational, not just some random a capella trio.

  • lol my doves near my computer, so it started to coo when it heard this

  • @Risk8erboy

lol mine too, and now she won't shut up!

  • Beautiful birds! Can you tell me what the music in the background is?

  • lol and here i thought they only made a sweet coo sound lol

  • theyre saying TEEEHEEHEEHEEHEETEEHEE wokWOK!

  • Great video, we rescued naked baby who fell out of the nest during a terrible storm, he's over 2 now doing fine......What is the name of that SONG, and who is the Artist?

  • LMAO one of the funniest and tenderest videos watched

  • doves make awesome pets! so fat & cute! ^_^

  • AWESOME :D I got 1 and I think thats hard to wake up to :P

  • Well someone should be named Mr Wheezy!

  • lol they are awesome my ring neck loves hearing them he gets excited flying on me and all over my room.

  • i have 1 2! he just became a dad his name is romeo! hehehe cheeky bird.. luvs him 2 death!

  • @EhJayJC that was my old account

  • My white female is in love with your doves in this video! Her mom and dad died, so its great I can put on dove videos playlists for her to watch while I'm away, until I find a friend for her! Thank you! (from her and me)

  • How do You manage to keep all these (3?) males together without fighting?

  • Lots and lots of training. It's difficult to explain how I do what I do, before I began raising doves I used to rehabilitate fighting roosters in Texas for regular farm life. It was tough but they learned how to get along. Afterwards even a child could pick them up without fear. My family has called me the bird whisperer before. When I moved to the city I choose to raise doves, historically they are the oldest pet man has ever kept.

  • Thanks a lot for so kind and detaled answer! In Russia doves are almost anknoun and we go our way relying mostly on information I find on USA web resourses, as long as we dont have any helpfull information in russian...

    With respect! Michail.

  • @midane100 can you please explain to me how you knew they were male? pardon my ignorance

  • I have one. She 's been with me over 10 years. How long can they live up to? Thankx

  • A Ringneck dove in captivity can generally live up to 25 years!

  • @NewSpeakproductions

    25 YEARS!? Fuck... I got mine when I was eleven years old. I'm 21 now and I'm about to move out and I'm tired of hearing this every morning at 6am!!!! ;__;

She's going to live longer than my dog!

  • You have Tangerine Ringnecks?

But the ring on the back of their neck is white, the one I have is the exact same colors as your's but it's got a light black-ish ring on the back of it's neck. Could mine be a hybrid?

  • There are over 40 color varieties of the ring-necked dove acknowledged by Dove Associations. The first dominant-gene caused color mutation was the tangerine.

  • Nice group of singers you got there. Hope they land a record deal soon!

  • OMG So cute!!!!! I wish I had one. It's so funny how each time they bow I hear a sound that goes Whaa?

  • Sometimes it sounds like they say, "hip-hip-hooray! wow, hip-hip-hooray! Wow!"

  • I know!

  • Ok, their newest favourite coo sounds a bit like, "Woop-to-the-end-of-the-day.... yeah.... woop-to-the-end-of-the-day!"

  • THATS HILARIOUS!! I play this video my my own dove, he loves it sooo much, thanks for posting!!!!

  • I love how they wake me up in the morning - keeps me from sleeping in.

  • at 0:15, your dove sounds like a rooster! My doves do this too! And the backround music... isn't this the same song from the first episode of Spongebob Squarepants?

  • Omg i just got my ringneck dove Tanner today and we watched this vid and he went nuts! Started laughing and bow cooing like he was there himself ;)

  • Nice! You should get a picture of that and post it online, I'd love to see it!

I personally have to wear earphones when editing videos like this of my doves, otherwise they start cooing extremely loud to the point where I can't hear myself think. ^_^ But they do make lovely pets! And so sweet after their daily flight/workout!

  • Your talking to me right? Lol and yeah i posted some on my facebook but I will make a vid on youtube about him :D

I'll let you know ^.~ and yes, they do make awsome pets! How do you keep your two males from fighting that truly baffles me male ringnecks usually dont do well in the same cage :P

  • I thought my cockatiel was bad!

  • i have one thanks to him we have to get up at 3:00AM and put him in the closet

  • They're jivin' to the music1

  • lol!! That's too funny.

It would have been better without the music though. I have the same type of doves, but they are silky. My doves wake me up every morning at around six. And they don't shut up...lol

  • How do you keep the males from killing each other for the female?

  • hehehe
