the upgrade for q/w makes me wish they'd added a 2nd upgrade option

when you said that you had a picture of the extra range. You didn't You had the death ray augment which is the worst of the three due to it only affecting base damage. Q and W augments are the only ones worth getting and most of the time W is his best augment. specifically for team fights.

i liked the idea of toying with the utility augments, and both of them actually are pretty good and very useful (especially the gravity one). but unfortunately your only real serious choice is the ap nuker version, your strength in sustained damage leaps so high (you're basically sitting on around ~100 ap with just a doran's and the augment) that it's like playing another hero. i really think the augment passive needs a rework.

I've found he's more of a hard carry, like Yi. if he has a good early game he can just destroy people.

I think rushing the augment after you get your boots is important, since he is sub-par to other casters till he gets it. but to each his own.

thank you Mr. cloby! every one i watched said vitro was really weak but i got him because i wanted a champ that would...... be hard to master with cool speels. i was feeling like i made a bad choise to buy him but your vid helped me get my my love for this champ back to were it had been when i first heard of him. so thank you for that. however his passive needs a lot of work. the idea was really cool but the way they put it into the game was a bit of a let down to say the least.

I feel Viktor needs some Cool down reduction to really be more effective so I start with a Dorans ring into boots of speed. Then grab a Morello's Evil tomb. Then I get the cdr boots and then finally pick up my augment. Right after I pick up the Rylai's and death cap.

I think early augments good cause it doesn't just augment his abilities it gives him bonus stats.

Power gives him hp and hp regen

Gravity gives mana and mana regen

Death gives 45ap

Also his passive doesn't have to be paid, the passive is 3ap per level and you don't have to buy augment to use it.

A note about Viktor's ultimate. Once you cast it, if you press R again, it will start to move to where your mouse was when you clicked. It can also target specific champions using that method. You can tell where it's going by the blue circle on the ground.

Also, Vik's ult will follow a person when cast on them, no matter where they move, but it doesn't move very fast. After that person dies, or you want to move it yourself, just press R again and it will move to where your cursor is. I like to use it right in the middle of a team fight, targeting their most fed/dangerous carry then clicking R way up the screen so when they retreat they run in to it. It's a great interrupt for those WW/Malz/Nunu types. Anyway, sorry for the triple post! gl; hf

In addition to my previous post, I'd like to add that he despretly needs an AP ratio buff, and a buff to his attack damage. On top of those too things, a move speed buff would also help to round him out. 380 speed with Sorc Boots is laughable, and makes him a ganker's dream, which is why W augment is so much better for him. I usually build Sorc Boots, Rylai's, Morello's, Rabbadons. Flat AP quints, seals, glyphs, and mpen marks, to help out his early game.

NOT a 2k ELO gamer, but here's my thoughts on Vik: He's not a carry, more of a controller/carry as you mentioned. He's not gonna be able to 1 v 1 unless fed/pro and he really shines in team fights. Only having 4 slots to build (you gotta buy boots) makes you much less powerful, and constricts the different builds you can put on him considerably. That being said, I find the augment that increases the range on his W to be the way to go for team fights. It adds almost twice the range.
