actual height [not counting the sail] has the Rex taller. head height based on recent fossil finds place the Rex as taller. about 1/3 of Spino's height is sail. but Rex lacks that, so it can't be added when comparing them. one guy I came across recently did some research that may place the Rex taller than Spino even WITH the sail, based on fossil findings. but at the moment it's a minority opinion since the community exposed to it is relatively small...

@DarkFatalisBoy The Spinosaurus in the film was about the same size as the t rex, when spinosaurus was actually much bigger than t rex. It's an easy mistake to make as most sources are dated. The modern Spinosaurus was only described very recently as the fossils are very new, I think it wasin 2007 that Spinosaurus described to be up 59 ft, thats much bigger than the 37 ft t-rex so really the film made it too small. Oh, and you spelt Baryonyx wrong.

Some of u guys r being unrealistic and silly, t-rex lived in America and Spino lived in Africa, both in the cretaceous era but they were seperated, so an encounter between them would not be possible, btw Trex was a scavenger and maybe a hunter too, spino was a dinosaur that ate fish, Spino was way bigger than trex, but less adaptable, some scientists think his specie didnt live to see the asteroid hit the earth, so , spino ate fish, what means he wouldnt hunt a rex, and rex was to small to hunt,

Then what can Spino do? eat fish all do and get his ass kicked? The Spino can only nip at Rexes neck and hope he doesn't get his head torn off. I mean, T rex has several abilities. He does have bacteria and a bite mass full of power, put if he were able to pin Spino down... Oh shit! His feet are HUGE! Trust me, his feet are bigger than Spino's. Much. actual height [not counting the sail] has the Rex taller. head height based on recent fossil finds place the Rex as taller. about 1/3 of Spino's height is sail. but Rex lacks that, so it can't be added when comparing them. one guy I came across recently did some research that may place the Rex taller than Spino even WITH the sail, based on fossil findings. but at the moment it's a minority opinion since the community exposed to it is relatively small...

See all of you people try to act smart on YouTube and urm . . well PRETEND that you know everything about Dinosaurs but if you knew anything about them then you would ask yourself the question, why was Rex a scavenger when he was built like a killing machine. Rex lived in the late Cretaceous period, which as you may know was a dieing world. In the times that Rex lived it was much easier to scavenge for food rather than actually hunt. Rex's bite force would snap a Spino in half.

@Mamba1459 Spinosaurus was likely to have been a generalized and opportunistic predator, possibly a Cretaceous equivalent of large grizzly bears, being biased toward fishing, though it undoubtedly scavenged and took many kinds of small or medium-sized prey.

@Mamba1459 Yes but its slow speed 11mph would still have been fast enough to go for it's most likely prey. Tyrannosaur's teeth were not well adapted to systematically chewing bone like hyenas do to extract marrow. The eye-sockets of tyrannosaurs are positioned so that the eyes would point forward, giving them binocular vision slightly better than that of modern hawks. It is not obvious why natural selection favored this trend if tyrannosaurs had been pure scavenger.

Most paleontologists accept that Tyrannosaurus was both an active predator and a scavenger like most large carnivores. While slower than large modern terrestrial predators, it may well have been fast enough to prey on large hadrosaurs and ceratopsians. Also spino primarily ate fish.

The Chances of a spino or a trex of killing each other is 60% to a Trex and 40% to a spino. if spino clawed one of trex legs it could trip and lose the fight but the thing with its killing the trex is not going to happen first spino had hollow teeth so if trex struggled at all spino would lose its teeth. Also trex had stronger neck muscles and thos muscles would help trex escape the spinos bit. Trex had a more powerful jaw and i bio weapon it at raw meat sometimes so the bacteria would kill it

Well tough one, spino I think would win, t rex has much stronger jaw and is built to kill bigger prey and it's mainly scavenges, spino ate fish and small dinosaurs but it was more of a fighter than Rex because of it's arms and built, much bigger but the rex would be more deadly but 1 on 1 spino would kill it because of it's arms and besides it'll take 1 bite for both so whoever strikes killin blow

@DarkFatalisBoy The Spinosaurus in the film was about the same size as the t rex, when spinosaurus was actually much bigger than t rex. It's an easy mistake to make as most sources are dated. The modern Spinosaurus was only described very recently as the fossils are very new, I think it wasin 2007 that Spinosaurus described to be up 59 ft, thats much bigger than the 37 ft t-rex so really the film made it too small. Oh, and you spelt Baryonyx wrong.

@hean2809 spinosaurus was more of a fighter than t-rex... t-rex was pretty much a scavenger its arm and size of its skull were to brittle to fight for its prey where at spinosaurus's snout like jaws and long arms were made for fighting as it could take down large prey without the worry of injuries unlike t-rex where if it fell over it was royally screwed

not really the spino has a terribly weak jaw, to long and it was meant for eating fish the t-rex was meant for eating herbivours of about its own size or bigger and it lived in packs spino no evidence of pack like behavior and even though its biggers its weaker in jaw and neck power, the t-rex had tremondous power in its jaws and neck to tear and crush bones and muscles, t rex would win and the spino would run it only ate helpless fishys

Guys stop arguing about rex vs spino. Compare them, a rex to a hyena and a spino to a lion. Hyenas have stronger jaws than a lion, but a lion has superior claws and almost completely equal legs, which is why it almost always kills the hyena. A lion also has superior strength. There you go!
