I just got this unit but mine is not playing videos from the USB drive. I put a pen drive, and tried MP4 and MPEG but it does not play, just says reading. I grounded the brake cable because my car is manual and I have no idea where this brake cable goes. My Ipod cable is on its way, so i haven't tried videos trhough the Ipod yet. If you could help me out in what should I do to have it play videos from my flash drive I would appreciate. Thanks

@cefasfer While the file format is certainly important, you’ll also want to be sure that the video resolution is within the compatible range: (160 x 120 to 320 x 240). @nzobuk If you want to control and display an XM subscription on this Kenwood stereo, you will need to add the compatible XM Tuner package. You will find the compatible package by typing the Crutchfield item number (700XMKEN2) into the search window on the Crutchfield website. HTH!--Crutchfield

i have this stereo and followed your advice but mine wont display my ipod video, i only hear sound =[

@therageofpaige In order for the Kenwood to display video from a compatible iPod/iPhone, you will need to connect the device with the optional KCA-iP202 video cable which is sold separately. If the stereo was installed properly, the vehicle will need to be in “park” in order for the unit to display any full motion video content. If the aforementioned qualifiers have been met, you may need to adjust the settings of your iPod/iPhone to enable the video output option. HTH! 800.315.0030-Crutchfield

@Sosay412 The Kenwood KIV-BT901 can control a CD changer, and we carry the Kenwood KDC-C719 CD changer which will work with it.

@tsujimasen Well like most video units, this model offers a parking brake sensor that disables the full motion video capability of the unit unless the vehicle is in park. If you are in park and still unable to play your video files, be sure that your storage device is formatted using FAT 16 or FAT 32 file system and your MPEG-4 files are formatted in either the 160 x 120 or 320 x 240 resolutions. By stream do you mean play the music from your iPod/iPhone using the USB cable to the radio? Yes, you certainly can. That's true for the music stored on your iPod as well as Pandora.

Or are you asking if it will play your music via bluetooth? We are pretty sure it won't do that. We can't 100% for sure until we get our hands on one, right now all we know is what Kenwood has told us so far, and they have told us it only has Bluetooth for hands free calling, not music streaming.
