The families of all these racist public "servers", the judge, the jurors and the sheriff, must be so ashamed. What an injustice! Mississippi has always been a racist state. SHAME on everybody who was involved in this miscarriage of justice.
To think this only happened 56 years ago! How can one race hate another? I have never been a racist person my mother taught me to judge a person by their character and not their color or culture. At times I feel ashamed to call myself an American. I am 30 years old and to imagine living in a segregated country would devastate me.
The defense council claimed the prosecution couldn't identify Till's body, but they couldn't prove he was in Detroit at any time either. The trial should have been heard in a U.S. District Court since it involved a federal question--kidnapping (as well as murder). The jury selection was questionable as well: WERE BOTH SIDES OF COUNSIL INVOLVED?? Probably not.
