@UkeOfEarl The neck is pretty average/typical of guitars today, nothing exotic. Definitely not fat, so don't cry! I'm of the belief that a good guitar can be used for anything. It has bluesy possibilities but it doesn't sound like a strat/tele/LP for sure.
I first became aware of this guitar back in 1983 when I started listening to Billy Bragg. He's the only one I've ever seen use it. I think it's a cool guitar. Certainly different. It's versatile and unique. Kind of ugly, yet cool looking at the same time. I like the green color. The re-issues from about 7 or 8 years ago were very affordable when new. Don't know if they're still being sold. Used ones are probably very reasonable. Neat guitar. Off the beaten path.
You didn't really spend any time in the middle position, using both pickups sans distortion. I've had one since 2002 and LOVE that setting! It chimes in a bell-like way that a Rick couldn't even touch. I use it exclusively for recording and everybody asks "what the hell is that guitar tone?" I swear by it! I don't think anyone who wants to pile on the distortion would go near a quirky little oddity like this. Maybe corntry pickers & Billy Bragg fanatics or Burns geeks like myself- but that's it!
There is nothing in the gibson range that is anywhere similar....
I dont disagree gibson guitars are very good... however the closest to this is probily an ES 335 or a ES 175... but none of them can give you the same sortof sounds...
Worth mentioning also that Burns have the best customer service ever,I bought mine in England last Christmas from a guitar shop, but it had some bad fret buzz,Burns not only replaced it free of charge and payed for the intrument to be picked up from where I was staying, but caus it took a few months for them to replace they also delivered it TO SPAIN! They stand by their products 100%.For my wait, they also inclueded a fitted guitar case and a Burns leather guitar strap.

I have the non-cutaway version. Gets very conventional sounds as well as wacky ones. Crazy unique guitar.

I had one and sold it.
It's much heavier than it looks and tend to go groundwards if on a strap. The balance isn't too good.
Looks super cool though.

This is a great and versatile guitar. I have had one for about 3 years now- its comfortable to play-great tone- and plenty of volume. Try one out.

Nice Guitar! I really like the HeadStock, looks like you could hide a tazer in it for those "out of control" Groupies!
