I seen these keys online for about $60. Will they work on my 05 mazda 6 5door. I have to old style key that has a seperate fob for the keyless entry. Any responses will be appreciated. I do not want to buy it and pay the dealership $100 for programming the key and remote cause i only got 1 key :( and have it not work.

You paid $120 for a fancy key...? Not trying to be a jerk because I have one and It's awesome but mine came with the car, and if it could have saved me $120 I would drop it in a second lol.

The point is that neither the Mz3 or MS3 come standard with a flip key. He's showing that one can be purchased for it. So if anything needs to be gotten over, it's you over yourself.

04-06 Mazda3's can use the older key that has the trunk button. The newer Canadian 07 Mazda3's need a new flip key remote (key portion stays the same). The USA 07 models need a keyless entry unit replaced to be compatible with the new 07 flip key remote, which means your current remotes will be useless (keys will still work).
Long story short: USA 2007+ 3 owners are out of luck for getting a flip key, unless they replace their keyless entry unit.

@TheKatsReow Use small screwdriver to press the release tab to separate the key and keyfob.Then use a coin or something to open up the keyfob.
The release tab is right in the middle of the slot where the key is stored when it's folded up. Flip the key open and you'll see it.

Well that's crap! My Mazdaspeed3GT has a regular key. Large area possibly housing a chip but certainly not the flipkey/keyfob combo. USA
