Who can beat what? It's all PR. I trust the USAF for the moment. Besides there's already "talks" of 6th Generation fighters. Of course the Typhoon has better maneuverability, it was designed so. The UK is buying the EF2000. And the EF has no naval version, because it can operate perfectly from Europe, and the EU have very few Carriers, the only one I know is the "Charles de Gaulle".

The EF can do more roles than the F35 and F22 TOGETHER. Maybe not the same, but more than them. There are only 150 F22s in service, and no more are to be added. The EF2000 was developed to deal with anything the EU might have for it.

F-35 can't be compared to the F-15. The F-35 won't be as good in dog fights. It'll get owned in dogfights. What we need are F-22's. Terrorists don't have much of AA and fighters anyway so there is no use of stealth either. If you're thinking about the Russians or Chinees: they won't attack the US because else they've got the rest of NATO shooting at them aswell. and I trust the US not to be stupid enough to start a war with them.

You can ask any fighter pilots who been flying both Eurofighter and Gripen. And the versatility and STOL qualities is outstanding in Gripen. I know that to appoint a plane to be regarded as the best is a tough one if even possible. But Gripen is certainly in the top three. But I don't think there is a accidental occurrence that the Hungarian Gripen pilot "shoot down" the Eurofighter in a dogfight!
