  • Guys you can't shank a 3 wood anyway as there is no Hosel!!

  • you people need to relax. A lot of people use shank to describe a bad shot in general not just an actual shank. You could also say he shit the bed but I dont see shit or a bed. Figure of speech. No wonder this world is shit, people are so quick to be assholes to make themselves feel better.

  • duck!!!!

  • this wasnt a shank... shanks come off the hozzzle and go straight right... this is what gary mccord would call a skank

  • Yeah this is no shank, just a dead pull. And yes, a 3wood has a hosel, but not like an iron. Trapping the ball with a closed face on the heel of the club is what causes a shank, and you can't really do that with a 3wood.

  • @tomfallon11 Every club has a hosel on it...wow

  • @andypatnou I'm extraordinarily interested to see that 3-wood of his. :P

  • this is not a shank

  • this is a smothered 3 wood . a shank is when the ball hits the hozzle or shaft area. the only way for it to shank left for a right handed player was if the ball hits the inside of the shaft

    ^ really unlikely though

  • Why does every video i see that has "shank" in it, not properly display a shank?

  • For some reason, it looked like he didn't feel comfortable before the shot. He just seemed to be fidgiting alot like he couldn't find his comfort zone. I dunno...that's just my opinion. Could just be his pre-shot routine.

  • it looks like he hit the ball with the heel of the clubhead

  • Right handed golfer will always shank it right cant go left. you could try it all day on the range and not one ball would go left. btw its impossible to shank a wood as the hosel of the club is flush with the face

  • @andypatnou...dude swing path has everything to with how the ball starts out..if you come from the inside it will start right..you come from over the top it will start left and if you come down the line it will start more or less on a straight line..

  • @russbr09 Club face angle has everything to do with where the ball starts out. The swing path determines the spin on the ball.

  • @zoltkonred lol youre so wrong...face angle puts spin on the ball...if you come inside (swing path) and the face is square to your target (face angle) you will hit a block hook (starts out way right comes in right to left and finishes by your target)...same thing with inside and an open face angle you will hit a block cut (starts right finishes farther right....all do to how the face made contact with the ball...if you try to hit a cut you use the face of the club to determine the spin on thebal

  • @russbr09 no buddy your wrong the face angle has way more to do with where the ball starts. swing path has very little to do with where the ball starts.

  • @jhaley12 path has everything to do with the path of the ball..if you come from the inside the ball will start right...if you come over the top it will start left..and if you come down the line it will start out down the line

  • you guys need to know what a shank is, a shank goes dead right for a right handed player, this one came over the top and hit a dead pull.

  • @jhaley12 you can shank it and go left , seen it on highspeed, will give the fact that he didnt do it here, but what sounds more funny? shanked 3 wood or , Out to In Path with a closed clubface in relation to his path. since path doesnt dictate where the ball starts it will always strat closer to where the face is pointing depending on where the ball strikes. : )

  • @andypatnou a shank can NEVER go left for a right handed player

  • @russbr09 check out my latest shank video and learn something

  • @andypatnou get it in your head, a shank is when it hits the pipe thing (hosel) and goes left for a right handed player

  • @andypatnou a shank goes right you tool. that's is in the definition of a shank. i don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • @mattyco1234 Hey tool, i have a video of a shank going left check it out

  • @andypatnou Your an idiot. I shank is when you hit the ball on the hosel of the club. When doing this the ball will not go left. It will go low and right. This was just an over the top hook. Learn your shit.

  • @schmitty3100 agreed 100%

  • @mattyco1234 you're clearly the tool. a shank by definition is a shot hit off the hosel not a shot that goes right. if the ball is hit on the outside edge of the hosel, it will fly left.

  • @andypatnou You sounded like an idiot there, regardless of being right, just a tool.

  • @jhaley12

theres no hosel on a 3 wood....if this was an iron in his hand it would be a dead shank....he hit this thing off the shaft almost....

  • @jhaley12 it;s all a shank

  • Why cut the video off there?! Wanted to hear reactions for a few seconds!

Does make me feel better though!

  • This made me feel 100% better about my golf game lol
