ok thanks, obeidance is already down pat for us...and i have many of the freestyle moves down pat also...excpet the backwards weeve, any tips on that move? Also should i still be clicking and treating her if she already has the moves down? Id appreciate any helpful tips!!! thanks so much!
@GoldenGirl5588 Still not Emily...lol but I haven't taught my dog to backwards weave, that's great. I;m not sure if you are planning on competing, but most competitions do not allow treats. If you type in 'fading the lure dog training' in the search bar, you can find out how to fade out giving treats.
Hi I am a fellow clicker trainer on the East Coast of Canada and I am just getting into freestyle with my standard poodles. I love your work with your dogs - and I love this routine with Splash - I love the song, the beat and the fact it is edgier than most freestyle you see. I could watch it over and over and not get tired of it as you are both having so much fun. It is obvious you put a lot of time into your training and that you and your dogs work well together - well done - clicks to you!
Hi- I love your routine. I really would love to start training my girl to do freestyle too.. She is only 4 months. How long and at what age did you start working on this routine and moves?
I love this routine.........would love to know how you taught the jump moves from a down and from a stand???? I have my first workshop for HTM mid November with Richard Curtis (Crufts winner +++) can't wait to put some of our training into practice. Thanks for all your hard work giving us your training videos it really is appreciated. xx
Fabulous routine! Your moves fit the music so well. Looks so much better than many other routines that just look like random behaviors put together wiht music playing in the background.
Amazing! You and Splash have such a wonderful relationship - it is apparent from the way you work together, and from the big smile on Splash's face. :)
I'm working with my westie on freestyle moves, but I have yet to put it all together to music. I think that's the hard part!
Great video!!! I'm just dabbling in a bit of canine freestyle (basically cause no one takes it very seriously here). My BC loves training and the video has given me inspiration for new moves I can teach him. Thanks heaps!
No matter how many canine freestyle videos I watch, there's always some out there that still blow my mind. And this one is no exception.
Splash was just so tuned into you, and you both really seemed to enjoy performing. I especially love how you incorporated moves that showed off both her intelligence and her athletic ability. Very well done! :)
OMD, this video is definately 5* and going in my favorites!! You look like you are both having so much fun =o) The trick where Splash is crawling in front of you is fantastic, and I love the ones where she looks over her shoulders in-synch with you. Excellent video showcasing the wonderful bond between a dog and her human =o) ~Heather and Jesse~
amazing. you have given me some much needed new ideas and as always have left me inspired to go train my dogs. a master class in tricks. it is, of course, a fav.
Love the Karate Kick move with the frisbee! I also like the up on the arms move, very cool! I just love how much fun you all are having! Nice video & so clear! 5* and a fav!

@GoldenGirl5588 I'm not Emily, but I know she was training splash since she was a little puppy. On her channel kikopup she has baby Splash videos.
And good luck with your pup. You can start k9 freestyle anytime, but make sure to get basic obedience down pat before focusing on freestyle.

That is amazing. I am going to make a dance with my dog but I can't choose what song out of naive, happy together and bring me to life.
Anyway that was fantastic, the slaloming through legs is still my favourite move.
