...So how come our sun rotates slower than Jupiter? The suggestion that it has been slowed by magnetic braking - that the Sun's magnetic field acts as a drag on the planets - does not hold water, because Jupiter's rotation has not been similarly slowed by it's magnetic field and moons which are in close proximity.
