I remember watching Gunsmoke in repeats at 6pm when I was a little girl. Miss Kitty was my first feminist(in the tough as nails variety not the perpetual victim variety) hero. If Kitty could be out there on the frontier taking care of business than I could be anything I wanted too. Sounds silly but it is the little things you see as a kid that help you to become who you are. Cheers to Ms. Blake. Beautiful clip thanks for posting

Too bad she never singed on the Gunsmoke series....beautiful voice.
Of course, she was up to 6 packs a day. Having a discreet affair with the marshall can do this to a person.
