@Sheeeeepies1 To use or not use shoulder rest doesn't depend on neck's size...He has a normal one by the way. Heifetz, for instance, had a long one and ever used sh.rest., nor Kreisler,Thibaud,Sarasate,Varg­a,Perlman,Ricci,Kogan,etc,all of them with different body proportions ever used s.r.It has to do rather with modern standarized modern violin teaching which is terrible in all senses also for health. doesn't respect great tradition of those great violinist that should be regarded as models.
