the trucking industry is so vital to American society that without it we would all go back to the caveman days. If there's more & more restrictions like this on truckers, why should they put up with it?? They won't! They should strike and not drive 1 mile till they see some justice. Whats the point of stripping basic rights from not only the trucker, but also the trucking company. Out here in CA trucking companies are going under b/c of the reduced emissions standards. its a bunch of BS

yeah..ca is fu**ed up for sure. Some of my friends can't go to the port to get loads now because their truck don't meet the criteria anymore.. If the freight backs up out there and has to sit on the docks/ships for a few months, maybe they will get a clue..

That is 100% dead on Jim. I wish these people would wake up and realize that when they see a truck rolling down the highway, the person inside is pretty much at home!! Is it any different for the doctor, lawyer, bartender etc who get to have all the comforts of his home any time he or she wants? Thanks Todd..for sure me and Janet are "at home" on the road. We have a house and I like to keep her and me comfortable and actually "have a life". We might not have as much room as an apartment, but just because we live out here does that mean we aren't "human"?
