  • who cares whether its 3 , 5 or 105...what does a number matter!!! its knowledge and skills that count not petty bickering over form numbers!!

  • How did Long 3 get the name Irish 5?

  • i believe that is Long Form 3, not Form 5

  • I am by no means an expert on kenpo. I do know kata and this was hurried through and it looked poor at best. She needs to slow it down abit and focus on her footwork and her technique abit more.

  • @digdugs57 : I was thinking the same, what's the hurry

  • @digdugs57 exactly

  • Irish kenpo with an American flag in the back lol yea... ok... This is Tracy's kenpo with an irish accent, i would like to see some techniques, then we can really see what style of kenpo they are really doing

  • Tracy's long 3, not long 5

  • Very energetic presentation I enjoyed it,posture was pretty good I thought, horse stance could do with a little work, hope you don't mind the comment, Rich

  • that is decidedly not 5 a somewhat contrived 3

  • thats long form 3 not form 5...

  • you are all a bunch of bitches quit pretending your all experts on kenpo since from what i read none you know a gaddamn thing... fuck you very much

  • ur kicks r doodoo

  • That is the Irish Long Form 3, except there some added kicks in this one.

I was taught by Ed Downey 7th Degree.

I don't what this lil kid is doing

  • Fast, but at the expense of stances.

  • looks like long form 3

  • exactly it looks like lonf form 3 in american kenpo, wh y irish kenpo it look like american but very very different, i really dont like it.

  • Looked like the long 3 I train.

  • Have to pass on the compliments of my fellow club members who watched and admired your demonstration of form 5. Bit confused by negative comments re instructor. A 15 year old girl puts on a great demo of form 5 and someone puts the instructor down ??? I suppose there are some people in this world that will find the negative in anything. Keep up the great work.

  • I notice this form is just like tracy's karate kata form 3. What are the origins of your system and is it actually called Irish Kenpo?

  • It's not called Irish Kenpo mate - it's the original Kenpo taught by Ed and brought to Ireland in the 60's by John Mcsweeney and although Kenpo has moved on to the modern/modified version you can still learn the original system here - it still kicks ass

  • PS to dynamo692000. Until then we only have the forms of a gutsy 15 year old girl and nothing but ridicule from the anonymous pen of a gutless elder of the karate world. I certainly wouldn't be paying to take a class from you. It takes more than just knowledge to be a teacher

  • A further comment to my last. Gemma you have a great talent, however I am worried your instructor hasnt shown you the precise execution of this form. Cannot fault the student for poor teaching. Well done on your dedication, hopefully your sensei can improve

  • You are right, she has great talent, especially for someone so young. Unless you think she was born with it we have to credit the only instructor who has guided her so far. Your comments on the form fail to point out that it is a bloody good form as has been expressed by everyone else who has commented on it. Maybe if your own forms were on here as an example of how it should be done we might feel your justification in your comments.

  • Wow this really is a fantastic example of form 5. Trained with lot of youngsters and adults over a number of years and have never seen anyone perform to that standard. Can't believe this girl is only 15. Well done Gemma.

  • An excellent form, especially for the age of the girl. Very well executed with a very good flow to it.

Keep up the hard work and we expect to see more of you.

  • No proper bow or horse stances. No exhalation on strikes, open fingers on palm and chop shots. Blocks not emphasised, salutation at beginning and end rushed and loose. I am one of the few instructors who still teaches the old traditional style and am sorrowed to see the basics lost on someone who has so much potential

  • looks great! over extension a bit and really stick them strikes. looks really good though.

    Piper

  • gemma kane only 15 very good form and lots of energy, well done

  • Again, very dynamic presentation. This looks to me like a bit of L3, and L4 sewn together?

  • yo juraba que era la forma 5 pero nada

es la largaa tres porque mienten... no esta mal la forma pero que arregle esos jinetes y las posisiones de pies

i think that were form 5 but is long form 3

is good but don't forget the training horse and posision

i dont speak good english sorry!!

  • It was called form five before Parker decided to rename and change the forms somewhat.

  • Very nice series of forms.

    You have excellent form and

    focus on yout thechiques.

    Keep up the good work

  • This video presents a karate form (kata in Japanese). This is the art part of karate, showing a combination of techniques. Its sole purpose is to improve your coordination and dexterity.

For the streets we study the particular techniques separately, focusing on speed, accuracy and power.

The presentation of techniques, outside of such a form, is not particularly attractive, though. And non of us had his/her camera on the ready the last time he/she had to protect him-/herself on the street

  • @class11a yes but the girl's form was sloppy to say the least. she was'nt bending her knees properly and everything was hurried her arms weren't running their full course.
