Great video, but like the others, I do question the distance at the tornado's closest pass to your location. Unless it happens in a later portion of the video that isn't on YouTube. I thought you was going to have a "Reed Timmer" like video when I saw the description and information. Still a good vid, and yes you were close, just not 50 to 100 yards in any part of this video I just watched. Good job on keeping a steady camera too. No violent shaking or losing focus.
It looks like a sister but actually it is a TV antenna tower. It almost got hit! I talked to the station KELOLAND in Sioux Falls, SD and their competition were almost knocked off the air by this tornado. The antenna is 1000' high so it acts as a measuring stick when the tornado gets close to it. The tornado was about a 1000' feet high as well.
Amazing footage. I should like to have this DVD! I'm developing ... er, REdeveloping my passion for tornadoes. I have though about becoming a storm chaser before ... I'm starting to wonder if that's what I want to do... ^^ / o.O
Wow, I love the music! What is the title? I will look for it on the Pirates soundtrack through our library catalogue if I know the title of the song. Way cool vid footage at the end!
It would be terrible if a tornado ever hit Dallas Texas. It would be impossible to survive. If only there was a way to pridict tornadoes in at least in a 24hr notice or a way to destroy a tornado while in motion.

BlueStar: Tornadoes have hit Dallas before, and at least one was an F4.
But they didn't kill more 60 people.
