On the "health care reform," most of the provisions in it won't take effect for "5 years!" That's 2015, as we know!!! I'm an American living in Holland, & you're right Amanda, the US is waaay behind the rest of the "western world" when it comes to health care benefits... And, something positive & helpful should''ve been done 30 yrs. ago. Especially when U take into account that US citizens pay a lot of taxes that the Govment & its thousands-of-agencies couldn't exist without!!! What-up wit dat?!

This is so funny, but you don't understand health care reform either! There's no public option in it! It's a mutation of Newt Gingrich's alt. to Hillary's plan (universal/single payer) back in the 90's and similar to Romney's Mass law. It's an individual mandate that's funded by new taxes, Medicare cuts, tax credits for the poor (lol) and the student loan interest diverted back into Ed Fund. Read the act(s) that passed deev, all we got is new insurance pools with no premium controls!!!
