cool thing but it also seems that the seat is seperat from the wheel and the shifter, the wheel and shifter have to stay in the same position to seat all the time or am i wrong ??

Nice work man. I was thinking of having my buddy build one for me, and was wondering how much you had to invest in materials like the frame/controllers/etc? I'm a disabled vet and can't build it myself physically, but I understand electronics just fine and can "coach" him through. I think it would be awesome for the neighborhood to have a sim chair for people to use! Any help appreciated.

The Hydralics are probably linked with the rumble/steer/pedals. Not Programmed into the game itself.

Actually its linked into the game.. there are numerous plugins for a bunch of different games.

AVOID FREX LIKE THE PLAGUE. Their SCM system is fraught with problems and design issues, and their customer service is a joke - you will end up with a very big hole in your pocket (and btw SCM is closer to $3000 for the full setup).

lol way too much money invested. over the top...why dont you just do some real life racing in the scca or nasa or something. buy a 1st gen rx7 spec or pro 7 for about 3k and race that in real life. entry fee is about $300.

@TonicEnergy one of the most important parts of racing (and exciting) is feeling the g's on accelerations, braking, and curves. A simulator will never be able to simulate g forces.

BTW if you let your frame jump around like that you risk knackering your actuators very quickly, they are not as durable as you might think.
