i like this build, doing one my self once i find a 350 and trans, i want a stick i cant stand autos, their too boring, BTW are those pontiac bonneville seats in there, did they just line right up or did you have to mod em? thanks
google "trans am creations" and check through their website. they have complete engines including TPI and all the info about swapping. the motors are pullouts and can include tranny for DIRT CHEAP!
look carefully this is a 85 2.5 TBI the 2.5 TBI came out with fuel injection in 1985 after they change the throtle body for a model 300 in 1987 there is 2 model of throtle body on the 2.5
@diablogeek , maybe you should check your facts. I own an absolute fatory original 86 with TBI. You are correct though that in 85 the carb was still used. But the switch came in 86 to fuel injection. In the case of the 2.5L motors, I couldn't say though. Mine is a 2.8L V6.

did a 454 in my 86 s10 blazer, makes the 350 i had in it before seem like a breeze to do, but it still fits in there. get alot of ppl that are amazed that i could be done. dont even need fourwheel low at the sand dunes, has enough power to clime every hill

200000 et la pompe a lhuile a chier... le crank a saisi... et jai swapper un V8 si tu veux remplacer par un autre moteur le V6 2.8 a le meme bellhousing il bolt sur la transmission du 2.5 ou meme un 3.4 de camaro dans les annees debut 90 mais tu dois swapper in intake a carburateur dessus car le systeme SFI est dispendieux a isntaller

the 2.8 you're right in 86 was tbi and in 85 and before Carbed.. but the 2.8 also different heads.. in 86 With the TBI ;)

well than if it was and 2.5 tbi it would be an 87 not an 85 so you facts are wrong because they did not put tbi on till 87 so thats not right

@chevydually454 there was 2 models of tbi used into the 2.5 the 300 and the 700 both made by rochester.. the 2.8 4.3 and V8 used the model 220 TBI
( im a GM technician for 10 years now , i checked the sources directly from GM )

I've got a 1984 GMC S-15 Sierra, and I plan on doing the same exact thing with it. Johnny Cash fits this perfect.
