The Andy Warhol Museum

I hope I don't offend anyone with this question, but: I want to go here, but is there anything else worth while to do in Pittsburgh? I was thinking of taking a Philly/DC/Possibly Pittsburgh trip and am wondering if it's worth travelling the 6+ hours from Philly to go all the way there.

Any other cultural goings on/nightclubs/theaters/etc. going on there? Please don't send me to some cheesy tourist website; I'm asking anyone who's visited and/or locals for suggestions. Cheers

The silver pillows are so beautiful. But as far I understand, they are no pop art, but what else?

They are the only work of Warhol I know, that doesn´t just copy reality (or present it in different colors),but shows fantasy.

The silver clouds are a form of pop art, and were part of an experimental concept of "interactive art" that other pop artists were also involved in for a short time

No. They have always been there each of the three times I have been to the Museum. But the last time I was there was over three years ago.....

Excellent! I was on the periphery of this whole Warhol group and scene....In retrospection,he was a quirky user sort of Mike Todd for the 60's art scene but waht a wondeful ride and an amazing talent all the same...great work!!! and this IS such a great song! ya got talent there my friend!
