Ganguly was not out but we have to remember that camera work wasn't brilliant back in 1999. There were no extra slow frames available to 3rd umpires for example to clearly see a bump ball etc.

the ganguly dismissal is SHOCKING...... really shit umpiring and it was kinda unsporting for the pakistanis (esp moin) to appeal for such a blatant bump ball.... dont get me wrong.... i loved the pak team at that time..... but this and the sachin runout in Calcutta wasnt right (niether was the inzy "blocking the field" dismissal)

Azhar was out, of course. He was padding up and in such a case, it doesn't matter how far forward he was or if he was struck outside off-stump. To the naked eye, the ball would have got top of off and middle.
