  • That is the only way that Peter Ebdon could have beat Ronnie O'Sullivan during that 2005 World Championship quarter final. Ebdon knew that if he played as slow as he possibly could that in the end it would just mess with Ronnie's head. If it wasn't for that Ronnie would have thrashed him.

  • I am 46 years old and a snooker fan since the early 1970's. In the 2005 World Championship quarter final Peter Ebdon took 5 minutes to make a break of 12. Peter Ebdon is definitely the slowest player I have ever seen, slower than Cliff Thorburn, Terry Griffiths, and Eddie Charlton. Ronnie O'Sullivan made a 147 in 5 minutes and 20 seconds and it took Ebdon almost that long to score 12 points.

  • green to brown.... fantastic shot

  • yes it was a series of difficult pots cos his positional play was so poor

  • plastic rests!? aaarrrh!!!

  • Great break from Ray Reardon. A series of difficult pots.

  • Charlton certainly in his advanced years here but an amazinly slow break - 5 minutes to make less than 50!

  • @mkqp ever heard of Peter Ebdon?go find out how many points he scored in 5 minutes

  • @kamikazeVX I think you'll find that was deliberate gamesmanship to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan, one of the fastest players in history. There is no doubt that Eddie Charlton was slower than Peter Ebdon.
