  • That's sorta strange....

  • wow! I wish i could teach this to my filly. :D very beautiful horse.

  • My arab does something similar to this, he more or less rocks between all 4 feet, whilst slightly bobbing his head. He does it when he is REALLY excited about something. Like when he is tied and can't wait to be ridden, or when he wants his meals ;) No one ever taught him this, he just does it himself when he is excited about something. He also nickers to me when he is "dancing" and grooms me when I approach him

  • Rachelbeauty, qboss is right.. Pure Arabian thoroughbreds can feel you..

  • my horse does this when she doesn't want to be tied too.

  • Look his tail! It is definitely not dancing, horse is excited and scared. Wonderful and very beautiful horse, but not dancing horse.

  • Hes beautiful! Is it a colt or is he just small? Either way he is stunning! And Im very jealous :D

  • the poor horse he's not dancing he's freaking out!!! My horse does that when he gets really, really nervous or spooking

  • @SuperDoubleP Well then your horse likes dancing

  • so beautiful hope you dont beat him !! horses can learn with no force , they like to work and learn :)

  • and as for the 'you don't know arabians' comment, alot of balady horses are trained to do this aswell, not just arabians so don't give me that. As I say this horse looks relatively happy and he looks well cared for but the majority of dancing horses do! The training is just awful. I have yet to see any horse trained to do this without being hit. Once they've been trained they don't need hitting anymore to make them do it because they know they get beaten if they DONT do it!

  • My most hated sport is horse dancing! I lived in Egypt and have seen the techniques used to achieve what this horse is doing and its absolutely barbaric, they back them into a corner so they cant go anywhere then scare the crap out of them so they jig jog then hit them across the legs with bamboo to make them bring their knees up as they do it! I've reschooled various ex dancers and they all have mouths like lead and are frightened to move forwards. This horse looks quite happy but still....

  • Woow Lol!

  • Very abnormal behaviour.

  • @kaeso100 I don't think it's abnormal. I know a horse who starts chewing his tongue and swishing his tail (basically gets really excited) whenever you hum or sing "You Are My Sunshine". :)

  • @No1ToteBag lol that's defo abnormal!! ;)

  • @No1ToteBag lol that's defo abnormal!! ;)

  • you mentioned the white near his hooves,I had a black horse but if he got any kind of a cut or injury the hairs there what grow back white, unless I covered it with vaseline cream

  • LOL... if you watch his mouth in certain parts he looks like he's singing too !

  • so damn cute!!!

  • cutte horse:) and beautiful

  • Soooo cuuuute! *looking out the window* "I thought I saw a hot mare out there... OH! There she is!" *starts dancing again* "Look! Ain't I'm beautiful? :D"

    Gorgeous horse!! :D

  • wow...beautiful horse, hehe, he looks excited lol is there a mare out side to go with the music XD? also do you have his feet wraped to prevent cracking if so nice, if not then why are his feet so white? either way he looks like this is fun to him. to all the negitive ppl and nay-sayers this horse is not in anyway being beaten and if he was trained by force it would take force to make him do it all the time (like with the enforced big lick in TWH)

  • @LittleMustangMare

    well said babe!

and his feet are so white because of his dark color! Also, the hair on the edges of two of his feet are white!

    Glad you like it! ;-)

  • @qbooss ah. couldn't tell that he had tiny little socks. do you know which bloodlines he comes from he looks alot like ebony pharo....

  • @LittleMustangMare I agree!

  • everyone is leaving bad comments because this horse is not in america and everyone thinks that people in other countries treat their animals badly.

  • Oh please! The horse seems neither frightened nor abused. It even takes some seconds to have a look through the window, ears straight up.

On top of that it looks magnificent and healthy.

From natural Arabian behaviour it's only a small step to make them dance on command. I guess brute force is unnecessary for this endeavour.

And keep in mind how "natural" a compliment, a piaffe, a piroutte or a Spanish walk actually is.

It's nagging like that which makes me want to avoid most horse people!

  • what a beautiful horse :) i have a spanish arab stallion who does that when he's excited or nervous.

  • This is NOT a piaffe, there is no collection, only tension. This horse is not enjoying what it's doing and there's no point to faking a piaffe, especially on a concrete floor. That's only going to create lameness.

  • @Jigsaw1314 they dont claim that it is a piaffe. my horses dressage skills go as far as a bit of leg yielding but he does this when he gets excited, no-one taught him to do it, he jus does what comes naturally

  • My Arab dances like that also.

  • This horse is afraid!!! Thats why it is moving its legs like that...It wants to leave, but cant because its tied. It obviously nervous.

  • haha looks like he's doing the potty dance

  • very nice!!

It' always great to ee a horse jumping, dancing or doing anything without presions and jut becaue he like to do it >w<

  • this isnt cruel, the horse seems relaxed.

  • coooolllll!

  • hey i know your probably sick of hearing comments but i can see in this video that that horse is treated well, he probably lives better than most people do and that house that he is in looks amazing. i'm just a little worried that it might be stable lameness....... but if not its cute :)

  • hmmm.... anxiety =/= dancing.

  • Very pretty horse. Certainly a dancer! I love that you can't see anyone in the video cuing the horse, so I assume he's doing it on verbal or visual cue alone. Nice.

  • This horse is gorgeous!

And it really looks like dancing :D

    Great^^

  • @Amyp4Horses

    Thanks Amy for ur comment!

I can tell from your cool page that you love horses and you really know enough about them! You've chosen the best sport ever!!!!

  • @Amyp4Horses this is not natural horse stepping, especially not for arabian horses, any arabian horse will not move by itself like this, this horse has been forced to learn to move this way in the beginning of training, it took maybe 2 maybe 3 months but guarantee horse forced to learn it, it may be the way of whip/stick, it may be way of lovely training, arabians like to please the owner but not this way, worst thing to hurt their personality.

  • a had an andalusian horse a time ago.. he just did this when he was scared of sameone touching his legs or climbing on his back... did anyone of u see this video of how they teach the horses that "dancing"? hold with two short lines in some sort of cage ( can't explain this in english, sorry..) and whiped and whiped until they start "dancing".. jaa.. really nice -.- and omg how sweet...

  • my arab used to do the same thing whenever i'd put her in the wash stall...nervous energy, but i always thought it was adorable!

  • that horse is beautiful!

  • @jkemp315

Thanks! cuz your eyes are beautiful! ;-)

  • @qbooss Aww! thx!

  • you know this is cruel right? they sometimes beat the horses legs with sticks!

  • @MsRevvy you know that you have no idea about Arabian horses, right? cuz the horse is moving around in his own, and just to let you know that you have no idea about how horses act when they feel something, Horses would act strangely when they fear anything, and you can tell from his ears if they're backward or forward!!! and always remember to prove what you wanna say before you talk! Thank you ;-)

  • @qbooss nicely said :)

  • @qbooss obviuosly you know nothing about horses. it is not natural for the horse to be doing this and he is bored...this horse has been beaten with some sort of object on its legs...and has been forced to move forward by you pulling it back..its cruel..you should go to school and learn something.

  • @rachelsbeauty

You obviously have never heard of "Arabian Horses Loyalty", but only those who are mixed with different species! When the horse is loyal, he can feel your feelings and understand your movements, words, and signs better than you could ever imagine!

When you grow up with anything, then you don't need anyone to teach you how to deal with it! School is only for those who need to learn some "Manners" and have "NO IDEA" about what they're talking about!

    Peace out!

  • i agree with Susukeyup5555555

  • oh! adorable! so cool xD

  • Lmao, thats awsome.

  • pretty god dancer !!!

  • coooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!! XD

  • The strongly gaited paso fino origiinated from the barb and the barb originated next door to the Arabian horse it doesn't surprise me that Arabians are naturally gaited, which is what this horse is doing. Do a Search for paso fino. This is just the gait that they do in the show ring. Many paso finos can and will do a big floating Arabian trot also, as well as doing a four step gait. GREAT VIDEO and gorgeous horse! And they do this when they are antsy or excited

  • This is a arabian dance taught to the horses for deoration in demonstration :)

its meant to be alot more slow, lower stepping and more bouncy piaffe

  • My little Arab mare dances too. She's 23 yrs old.

  • The isn't standing on a hot floor, this looks like a wash rack with an open window to allow cool air to come through. The horse does this because it does not like being tied up and alone. Some horses just do this as a sign of being anxious. Nothing more, no harm done.

  • That's a very beautiful horse.

While I don't know how this horse was trained, he seems pretty relaxed and in very good shape here.

The music is obviously dubbed over this vid (since you can't hear the footfalls) so for all we know, he's simply doing this at verbal command.

But, I just wanted to say that he's beautiful.

  • Arabian horses are known for this particular "dance" step, though not usually so fast. If the floor was hot he would be bucking. Instead his ears are up (sign of a happy horse); if angered or frightened the ears would be flattened back. Notice he even pauses to stare out the window. I think some of you are prejudiced.

  • this guy is nervice and is working himself up not nice , although he seems perky

  • My arab horse does this when he's nervous all the time, and he's never been abused!

  • that´s what it looks like... do you have proof of this information?

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • cuteeee i love this video!

  • My black Arabian stallion dances too, though not nearly so fast. To music, yes, and a beautiful floating piaffe on the spot if a mare passes!

  • aww!

  • lmao, thats soo cute (:

  • So cute ^__^

  • lol

    Beautiful horse!

  • behi behi, very pretty ;-) I love arabian horses..! Die sind so edel und ausdrucksstark! Where is it (country)? Bye bye

  • OMG

it lookes like a very quick piaffe !!

  • it's neither, it's just a quick piaffe lol. arabians aren't naturally gaited. he's just been taught to piaffe more quickly to match the music i'm guessing

  • i think its just the charactor of the horse :P

  • that is a gait not dancing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its a gate not a dance. haha

  • Wow! great horse

  • To jest świetne :)

  • thats so cute :3

    what a lovely horse :]

  • why is it that everytime I see this type of horse dance, the frontlegs seem to move much more compared to almost still backlegs? O_o doesnt look nice, no balance nor stable moving.

  • Horse expert.. what do you know about horses, go get educated then cooment.

  • Aw that horse is stunning :D you have trained it well :) x

  • He's good! Train him to pick his feet up a little higher, and time his steps, he'll be beautiful!

  • thank you for the tips ;-)

  • For all of you who think this is horrible and cruel, READ up about horses BEFORE you make a comment.

This horse is by NO means stressed or nervous! His ears are forwards, he is alert and his tail is held the way Arabians hold their tails and it is just swaying as he moves.

IF the horse was nervous or stressed his ears would be pinned, he'd be swishing his tail. He would be showing a lot more negative body language.

  • thats is awful and cruel

  • WTF?

  • For those who think that this is abuse or he is a nervouse horse, you guys have no idea about this race of horses. Maybe it is something that y'all have not seen in ur life, but that does not mean to be unaware of horses' skills and how good they can do.

  • horse abuse!

  • Well.. i don't think this is dancing at all..

This horse is doing a sort off a ruined piaffe because it is stressed like hell..

    Poor horse...!!!!!!

  • To Sietsx3 - Just because the horse is trotting in place does not mean it is trying to do a Piaffe. Not all horses do dressage. This may be something from a different style of riding or something the owner of the horse made up themselves. Also, as I said in my other comment... look at the horse's body language. His ears, tail, expression... you will see that he is far from stressed.

  • Thanks for the explaination! I've mentioned that before, but some people keep saying that it is cruel and abuse! You really know about horses! ;-)

  • Your welcome! I hope people will actually read what I wrote and stop posting crap.

It's not just with horses, animals ears, eyes and tails say a lot about their mood regardless of what species they are. You can read an animal's body language like you can read a person's.

These idiots just need to shut their mouths and open their eyes and brains!

  • Most of the naggers are too narrow minded to listen to sensible comments like yours. These people certainly cound't read subtile HUMAN bodylanguage to save their lifes, let alone these of animals. All they know is how to throw stones against others from safe distance so that those others don't come close and aspy their mediocrity and disabilities.

  • That horse up their is a beautiful and typical excample of one of the most wonderful breeds existing and shows nothing but the very own nature of his kind. @qbooss, if you are the owner of that animal you are very lucky! :-)

  • @Sietsx3 Well, some horses tend to do this "dance" when they're excited. One of my Arab horses also tends to do this when he's very excited about something, such as seeing my mare pass by his stall (he was gelded only a few months ago yet still isn't fully over being a stallion). At a certain point of the video he is looking out the window, excited. So perhaps he sees something that excites him/ he wants.

I don't think i'd exactly call it "poor horse". He looks well cared for, clean, & healthy.

  • @Sietsx3 U have Right!...Poor Horse!!

  • poor stressed animal:(

  • yes, looks really just like a nervous twitch you've put on with that damn music. Poor horse. But it's totally beautiful, really.

Dancing when you're riding it? Oh man. nervous horse.

dancing with you on their back > dressage.

    & I don't think this looks like a good dressage train (;

  • This place doesn't look in any way suitable for the horse. It looks more like an empty room, with solid floor. Hope this horse doesn't spend much time there tied up like this.

  • this place is for washing babe! horses need to be washed everytime you take em out if dont know that!@

  • So why don't you WASH it there?

You make the horse dance on that solid floor, and this can be harmful for its hooves and joints. Why people can't make exercises with a horse in a right place? What would you say if I force you to make ballet on a rocky ground?

  • so beautiful.Looks like there doing the dressage move:piaffe!also the "trot in place"

  • No, big difference.

  • ..beautyful horse!!!

  • i love it its adorable!!

  • You wouldn't think it was adorable if you knew how most of these "dancing" horses were trained.

  • UM, xcuse me not 2 b mean but u sort of r UM if i think something is cuteits my belief. and yah i know how much he was trained its still cute

  • how do they train them???

  • There are several methods to training them, but mostly they are hit in the legs, sides, and back to get them to move their legs in a particular pattern. They then learn that when a cue is given, they should "dance" in order to avoid being beaten.

  • Just as horses cause pain with each other to get the other to move his feet(Biting and kicking)until they come to an "understanding."

  • this is so cute!

  • Wow love the horse, He really want to go out for a run. Its like" Come on come on i wana run run run " lol love it love the breed.

  • how do u teach em that??? that floor looks a lil slippery...and w/ him tied up if he slipped and fell he could get hurt...i might be wrong if the floor isnt slippery than that is totally fine!

that was great! verry nice...and verry pretty horse!

  • It's a concrete floor and it is not wet as you think!! If u wanna see more,, copy and paste(فرسان يام) and check out the white horse!!

  • how does he learn this? i cant believe this....

  • oh my good its a beautiful horse and he dance so good =)

  • hahaha fun to see the horse dancing.

  • If they were using electricity would not the horse be pulling more on his halter to get away?

  • Gorgeous horse, lots of spirit ... wonderful to see :)

  • I looked at the gray horse you were riding, no electricity there. Do you know this site ? The Loyalty of Arabian Horses (Desert Kings)

  • Absoulatly!! The guy in that clip is a famous guy and his name is Ali Al-Amiri!! He knows how to deal with horses.

  • I am not trying to offend you. I will go to your other site as you requested.

  • I am not sure I understand your answer. Depends on the trainer ? Tell me why the horse is standing on wet concrete ? Believe me if this is done without electricity I will be the first to commend the trainer.

  • you can check out my file to see another vid of this kind of horses. or copy and paste this name in youtube " فرسان نجران "

click on the first vid. the one on the white horse and let me know if there is an electricity!!!

  • I have raised Arabians horses for 35 years. I think they wet the floor and had electric current running in it . If so SHAME ON THEM !!!!

  • depends on the trainer buddy!!

no one will be born with a knowledge!!! ;-)

  • haha mares alway get poor stallions in trouble!

  • Absolutely beautiful horse!!
