  • You look no more than 30... wow

  • looks 66! amazing, not 70, but 66. I know a lot of 66 year olds look like her. Eat all they like.

  • Thank you for bringing this video to us! This is the most detailed info I could find about Sunny Griffin

  • great video...can u tell me the artist and name of the song...at the end...thanks

  • @awsevenn Peter Katz - dangerous

  • I would love to know what kind of makeup this woman uses? Is there a healthy makeup???

  • 70??? Come on, are you really 70? You look amazing!

  • @hobsoaem I believe she is 71 now (the video was added almost a year ago)..

  • wow shes really 70?? i gonna look this up

  • @veganprincess01 Lol, go ahead! :)

  • @snoball981 SAD is sad! hahaha..

  • She looks 40, but she still beautiful, I would like to reach her age with a body ans face like hers

  • THAILANDD ! <3

I'm Thai living in Thailand, and it's quite strange that why i've never met Thai Raw foodist before while in Thailand every fruit and veg are soo cheap? So now i might give Raw food a try.

Plus, nowadays many Thais eat craps a lot. :P

  • Wow, such an amazing inspiring woman! And yes, she's beautiful, inside and out ;)

  • EATING RAW !!!!!IF SHE EATS "RAW " SHE AINT A VEGETARIAN .THINK ABOUT IT ..haaa haaaaa

  • she's so inspiring!

  • Do you eat cooked brussels sprouts? Does going raw mean no cooked foods.Or just fruit and veggies.

  • just beautiful.

  • Wow.

  • When you say you fast, what kind of fast?? how did you start it, and how did you break it? I am very interested in fasting but I want to learn a little more from someone more experienced, thank you! :]

  • What a fantastic testimonial! I have serious health conditions, which is why I started the raw thing in the first place. It does work, even with medication and nothing but gmo apples, oranges, and bananas (though that's not what I'd recommend).

  • @mc2gregory Thats good to hear that the ``raw thing`` works for you :)

  • Sunny is very beautiful, and elsewhere on YouTube you can see her in one of the funniest TV ads from the early '70s, for Clairol Kindness heated hair rollers. (The photo shows a woman in curlers holding up a yellow dress in front of a mirror.)

  • @Mezzotenor Hahaha, just finished watching the commercial. Very funny. Thanks for sharing :)

  • Her hair! it's so silky. Women her age don't have hair like that.

  • @2emeraldeyes Yes! Her hair is very beautiful :)

  • We absolutely are not controlled by our genes, our environment controls our genes. Don't listen to Media "Science." Check out Bruce Lipton.

  • @summerperry No, with the exception of epigenetics, genes are largely stagnant, and do much to determine of our lifespans and heritable ailments; and there is nothing we can do can change this. Obviously not taking care of your body will lead to serious adverse health effects and increase risk factors, but the hypothesis that a raw vegan diet will give you increased longevity is simply unsubstantiated by science. A balanced diet of meat and vegetation is optimal for human health.

  • @summerperry I love this topic! There is a great book by Matt Ridley called "Nature via Nurture". Very interesting :)))

  • It is absolutely true about an organic raw food diet!

  • @dawes777 It is, and the truth is always simple ;)

  • People need to stop blaming their problems on genetics. Your genes do not determine your future. Genes can be manipulated and strengthened by going on a raw diet. Or you can keep weakening it and be more prone to illnesses by continuing eating processed crap.

  • @WAlkhms Amen to that!

  • @WAlkhms Genes 'do' determine the future for certain types of people with various physical conditions and illnesses, which cannot be reversed.

  • @dawes777 Of course genetic diseases that are not curable/preventable are another issue! But There are several genetic traits that are strongly influenced by environmental factors. For example your weight. You can have a very low metabolism and prone to being overweight but this can be prevented by exercising and eating healthy. Another example is teeth/jaws. If youre raised on soft processed food youre jaws and teeth wont develop properly (which is why people get overbites, crooked teeth etc)

  • I think she's prettier now than she was in the 60's! She definitely looks healthy and young for her age, esp her skin and hair. Her hair is silky even though she bleaches it...that sells me more than anything.

  • @kokonutbaby1 Agreed! She looks beautiful, and her radiant skin and hair are proof of her health. :)

  • Oh, the classic logical fallacy of confusing correlation with causation. She looks great at her age because of genetics; the same reason Jack Lalanne (who propagated the bs 'juicing' craze) lived to 96, and the same reason that all of the centurions in the US (none of which are vegan) have lived to their age. Diet and exercise matter; but modern peer reviewed scientific research demonstrates that active human beings thrive off a diet low in sugars and starches, with a balance of meat and veg.

  • @RebelWrestler45 one word... epigenetics

  • @RebelWrestler45 Maybe you are right and genes are a big part of longevity, but so is lifestyle!!! You can't chose your genes, but you can chose your lifestyle...

  • @RebelWrestler45 Do you believe in God?

  • @Velasca Though I think that there is a possibility that a god exists, there is not adequate evidence to substantiate a belief in god.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Ok, but it's bloody miraculous how it has all come together, isn't it? God or no God...

And about the longevity, are you familiar with Peter Ragnar? He is a raw vegan and intends not to die.

  • @Velasca Amazing, incredibly complex, stunning; absolutely. Miraculous; not so much, as there are naturalistic explanations for the diversity of life, and the origin of the cosmos. I really wish you hadn't brought up Peter Ragnar; he is beyond delusional. Not a single centurian in the United States is a vegan, Peter will be the first if he reaches 100. His psychology is bogus, his 'martial arts expertise' is fraudulent. Furthermore, I would bet a Ben Franklin that he's on HGH or Test.

  • @RebelWrestler45 It will be interesting to see what age Peter gets to. He's in his early seventies now apparently. I don't know enough about the longevity and diet stuff to comment but I've found him to be quite an interesting character from some of the stuff I've read... could well be a lot of rubbish, however.

  • @RebelWrestler45 Not a single centurian?

Yeah you're right, it's not just ONE... it's MANY ;)

Do a search for "Long List of Vegan and Vegetarian Centenarians".

  • @ingoFX There are many vegan centenarians in the world, particularly in nations which are predominantly Bhuddist. However, I was referring to the US alone; but it appears there is one vegan centenarian still alive in the US: Loreen Dinwiddie.

  • @RebelWrestler45 is Margie Macket no longer alive?

are these just the only ones on youtube?

I'm surprised, as a lot of people have avoided urgent heart surgery just by going Vegan, adding many more years to their lives - or is it something to do with the US?

I'm not vegan - at least not at this point - my dad was a butcher ;)

He had 5 heart attacks in a row and is lucky to be alive today - the hospital staff call him the miracle man - he recently saw the eating dvd and wants to give it a try.

  • Also, I don't want to go through what he had to go through - specially with only a 1 - 2% chance of making it... which is why I'm looking at ways to make sure I don't go down the same road.

Hard to say... I'll need to look into it more, but I guess my goal is slightly different - not so much reaching the highest number, but being the healthiest I can in those later years - if that requires eating meat, great... but from what I've found so far, that doesn't look to be the case sadly.

  • @ingoFX wowo he wants to live!! My! WOW what a luck he saw this dvd! God it's incredible what this movie can make sometimes!

  • @RebelWrestler45... before write this comment ,probably better of to try just 1 week -water,fruits ,nuts, and greens, and after...only after that it will be possible to conclude...

  • @RebelWrestler45 Ah, but does someone living to be 100 mean they are healthy and active at that age? My definition of good health is to be mobile, sharp-witted and active *without* the aid of modern medicine (surgery, medication, etc.). One could say my 92-year old grandmother is doing well for her age (as a life-long meat-eater), but the truth of the matter is she has lost a breast, had open heart surgery, is on multiple medications and uses a walker. Alive, but healthy?

  • @RebelWrestler45 you are only partially right, as many of us can and have overcome genetics with the right food and exercise.

  • @Yehudiim It is not possible to 'overcome genetics'. With the exception of epigenetics, genes are largely stagnant. We can reduce heritable risk factors (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, low testosterone, cancer etc.) by staying healthy for sure, but proper diet and exercise are not determinative of health; we are, and always will be limited by our genes.

  • @RebelWrestler45 - The point you are missing is how amazing Raw Vegans say they feel. Forget longevity and good skin, it's all about how you feel. And you just feel better when you go Raw.

  • @mikedowd66 Sorry, anecdotes are next to worthless; that being said, I went vegetarian for 2 weeks, and raw vegan for the next two weeks for a research paper for a 3000 level Bio class, and I felt by far the weakest during the raw vegan stage, and I was shitting my brains out. Moreover, I lost a considerable amount of strength during that single month, even while keeping my protein intake at about 140 grams a day. The raw vegan diet simply is not as healthy for an active human.

  • she looked sooo much like Leighton Meester when she was young

  • @homosexualturdface A little, yeah... I can see the resemblance... :)

  • @homosexualturdface u r so dead on. when i seen the 2nd pic i think (one in the dress) and she has her hand near her face im like 'BLAIR!' (gossip girl) LOL

  • does this mean no more pizza ?

  • @craziesthorse haha... It's hard when you look at it that way... Try to see what you will gain instead of what you lose...

  • @craziesthorse Try raw pizza. It's pretty awesome.

  • @craziesthorse No! See "Hallelujah acres" and type in "pizza" they'll show you how to make it. I was so surprised how endless the recipes are for vegan and raw recipes.

  • i love her

  • @vladetic3 Me too! She is awesome!

  • she's lucky white women usually age horribly

  • @goddessnoire That's a generalization! One's lifestyle plays a big role in how one ages.

  • What about skin care and the sun? Does she use SPF or tan?

  • @RecycledFryingPan You can ask her, she is on Facebook. Or you can email her the question... Her emails can be found on her Facebook 'info' page.

  • When I am strickly on the raw food diet I have so much energy that sometimes I go 32 hrs. without sleep and feel great! I also have people asking me if I am 22 yrs. old when I was 53. I have been on the diet this last yr. because of health issues with my aging parents, a move and the economy and I look every bit of my age now! Kudo's to the Raw Food Diet!

  • @10gale Raw is the way to go for sure !! thanks for sharing

  • She is beautiful for any age, and to have gone through what she has you know she takes care of her body! I just turned 63 on Nov.1st..my husband is a few years younger than my son, and I wasn't looking for a younger man, we just fell in love..but for 63 I feel great, and I research natural healing, and use it for my benefit, so eat right and exercise, it pays off!!

  • @souljahleeready Amen to that !!!

  • @themoviebuff101 agreed. listen to our elders as they are our teachers *

  • I hate to hear people say "she looks good for her age", I like to hear people say Wow! she is a beautiful lady!

  • She mentions Thailand. It's no secret that everyday folks in the far east can easily live to their hundreds and age very gracefully.

  • @Di0genesus so many fresh wonderful fruits in thailand !!!

  • she looks like 40 or something.. good for her!

  • @bjokkor wonderful what a simple raw vegan lifestyle can do *

  • @logika1972 lets play nice and still make our strong and valid points please

  • YOUR ARE ALL MAD !

    SHE IS TOO THIN !

DO YOU REALIZE THAT IF YOU STAY SO LEAN YOUR BONES BECOME BRITTLE ?

  • @1Adr1an6 i am not sure that lean necessarily = brittle bones. my understanding is that brittle bones come from lack of nutrients and lack of exercise not from body fat %. please correct me if i am wrong

  • @TheCoolVegetarian this is true its callesdWolfes law look it up. Basically your bones will reform and get stronger or weaker respective of the stresses or lack there of you place on them (exercise) the body works in a "use it or lose it" principle

  • @1Adr1an6 do some research before you make such ignorant comments

  • @dajana512 maybe you should,

  • @1Adr1an6 wow that was well thought out!

  • @1Adr1an6

    hääää?????

  • 70??? She's gorgeous and vibrant! WOW!

  • I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS WOMAN!

  • @levanehh She Rawks !

  • SUNNY: WHAT IS THE SECRET FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL HAIR..PLEASE LET ME KNOW...YOU LOOK GREAT FOR YOUR AGE ...I'M A VEGETARIAN AS WELL, I HAVE BEEN A VEGETARIAN SINCE BIRTH...KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB!...

  • @ninitalinda1 sunny is a raw vegan and she has her own skin care line which is great for skin and hair... she also exercises too *

  • alot of vegans are defient of vitamin b-12 and are anemic when they don't do it right. some vegans look malnourished. im not yet convienced about a strict vegan. organic and raw yes but, it is 2x more expensive.

  • @mbb03f true that many vegans do it wrong and fail... i did a video on that called 'avoid the 5 biggest veggie, vegan and raw mistakes'

  • @mbb03f

a lot of meat eaters are defient of vitamin b-12 and are anemic. a lot of meat eaters look malnourished, which most just call anorexia. i am convinced about a "strict" vegan diet as animal products have no place in my body.

You get my point? All the problems you see in vegans you can find in even more prevalence in nonvegans, the only difference is that vegan problems are attributed to diet and nonvegan problems are attributed to something else.

  • @mbb03f Alot of meat eaters are defient of vitamin b-12. It's a myth. And not really, i found where i am its £1.00 for 5 bananas. People spend alot more on junk food for sure.

  • i tried eating vegitarian for a month but then i started farting like crazy all the time, like i've never farted that much in my life. that's the main reason why i gave up

  • @raider2661 that is usually from 1 of 3 things : 1) not eating good , 2) not properly combining foods, and or 3) the digestive system being weak. most often it is # 3 and it takes time and effort to get the digestion working great. Once you do it is very worthwhile.

  • @TheCoolVegetarian I might try it again, but if the problem doesn't subside i'll probably give up. I was farting and shitting up a storm, seriously the stinkiest farts and shits i've ever smelled in my entire life

  • She sounds so energetic and young! She makes getting older seem like something to look forward to :-)

  • @Tangerinetaco agreed ! Suny is an amazing inspiration for us all !

  • @thugricanz agreed. Suny is so young for her age and a real example of how we can live very active and happy into our older years !

  • @TheCoolVegetarian Yeah! It is never too late to go RAW. Because of this, I want to increase my percentage of raw intake to 80%. Also, I really like your website if it is yours. ha ha. I am glad I found it.
