What part did King James play in getting his name on the bible? Who was he? What type of person was he? Why are the bible's book titles Greek names? I just posted about him fulfilling the law that came before him, so that means he practiced in old tradition of the people he was raised w/. It's almost as saying you learned basic math in elementary school, but college math is a lie b/c you haven't reached that level and aren't willing to take steps to reach higher levels. @prouton1 Transliteration from Hebrew to Latin based languages: In Hebrew, you have to take a WHOLE passage into consideration to get the WHOLE idea of what's being said. Not a couple of sentences like they do w/ the bible. This is why Hebrew is considered an idiomatic ("special phrasing") language. An attempt to transliterate makes the Latin latter look like random words tossed together that wouldn't make sense. What has been done is add filler words that change the original idea.

If "Jesus" supposedly existed 2000 years ago, and the religion came about 1 or 2 hundred years after his death, it's still a newborn in comparison to indigenous spiritual systems of the world. Read up on the Cult of Mithra & read the bible (Geneva or KJV) again, then get back w/ me.

@prouton1 To continue, "Jesus" is a Latin name. Its origins stem from the story of Zeus & Io (io), hence Iozeus, "a name above all other names". This is the original story of "immaculate conception" & then a son being born of a virgin after being impregnated by god (Zeus). BTW, I came across an old Webster's dictionary from 1925 & it read: "Jesus (L) - prevaricator, deceiver, cunning person." You can't transliterate Hebrew to any Latin based language & get the original idea. Look it up yourself.

@djkoolemdee Most of all, it all boils down to learning basic vocabulary. As learned in researching history, you better understand a people by learning their language. A big example is using the word "nice". We say often how a person looks or smells nice. The word "nice" actually means "ignorant". Which takes it back to the question, "What's in a name?" Take the time to learn about the Greek language & how words are pronounced. Sound out some syllables. You'll be surprised.

Too many take the language its written in as literal, instead of the metaphoric language it is, which is old English (see Shakespeare).
