  • So goooood

  • meow meow meow

  • 1973 chile

  • Hang on guys: I think honestly that the end is the recording of a urinal in the recording studio. I'm not kidding. It's in a book on the Clash but the book is at home in the U.K. and I'm in Canada until April so cannot dig out the source but am positive that that's what ends the song!!!

  • first time i heard this album i was amazed still love it

  • it sounds like living in the fame :P

  • hmm it sounds alittle like living in the fame isnt it ?

    i mean te bass :P

  • HAAA!!! Listen to Sandinista! ALL THE WAY THROUGH at least twice a week!! Brilliant! And Eye thought that I was all alone.....

  • wish i knew. Thought that thought back in '82 when listening to the vinyl on my headphones. Nice lullaby before the lp ejected on the third lp.

  • reggae+punk rock+dub= The Clash

Mikey Dread & The Clash hicieron un buen reggae en Sandinista!

    Gran Cancion!

  • I had one of those sheep in a can toys...I'd play along with the lads in my room...

  • This is the most chill song ever

  • One of the best instrumentals ever! Say hallo to Joe!

  • God, I love the bleating in the background. Sandinista is so brilliantly odd.

Any guesses as to what's being said at 1:39 or thereabouts?

  • No idea. I've played it slow, fast and backwards, there's just much echo to here what's being said, if indeed someone is being said at all.

  • @AppoCC119

    To me it's

"I know somebody rolled there sleaves up!"

  • @AnSpailpinFanach "The walrus was Paul"

  • mikey dread is one of the best. I love th clash

  • I bought this when it was a new release and it impressed my like none of their previous albums. Have I been hearing the ending corectly all these years: 2:24 "Could it really happen?" "I hope not." (sound of the button pushed, missile is launched).

  • Wow, you just might be right. Interesting.

  • Sounds correct.

  • no i think its "everybody happy"? "i hope".

  • i think it sounds like the london underground trains .

  • @LaJaDiSc Mon I think he,s saying, how do we finish this LLP,

This Album Confirmed everything I ever believed and disbelieved all my life. I was about twenty at the time. I replayed it over and over, read and reread the lyrcs.

Just finished listenen to the whole album on utube. and dug out the tattered alBUM with lyric sheets and cartoons also my notes and thoughts at the time.

It's still on of my favorites...............Its............................ REVOLUTION ROCK!

  • my fav track from my fav album

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥RIP JOE

  • This isn't the Police & Thieves tune is it?

    (note it's just a question)

  • Don't think it is. There's some similarity in the bass line, but I don't think it's the same. I'm no expert at all though, could be wrong.

  • @AppoCC119

I think it is actually, just a dub version

  • Sure it's just a question, but such a stupid one.

"Shepherds Delight" is the last track from the album "Sandinista!". "Police & Thieves" (by Junior Murvin) belongs to the first Clash album.

  • I know that,

I was just saying it coz that album has a few Instrumentals on

  • @leeperryismerry Wikipedia says that this song is Police and Thieves backwards, and also dubbed.

  • @gamer4life444

So I was close then! ;)

  • @leeperryismerry you're right, same chord progression!!!!

  • @leeperryismerry I should say is"if music could talk" little sister. Greats form Argentina

  • love this song. col to find it on YT. They did more for the world than most people realize. 5*****

    ♥♥♥♥♥♥RIP JOE

  • This is a superb track off a very under rated album.
