Hang on guys: I think honestly that the end is the recording of a urinal in the recording studio. I'm not kidding. It's in a book on the Clash but the book is at home in the U.K. and I'm in Canada until April so cannot dig out the source but am positive that that's what ends the song!!!
I bought this when it was a new release and it impressed my like none of their previous albums. Have I been hearing the ending corectly all these years: 2:24 "Could it really happen?" "I hope not." (sound of the button pushed, missile is launched).
@LaJaDiSc Mon I think he,s saying, how do we finish this LLP,
This Album Confirmed everything I ever believed and disbelieved all my life. I was about twenty at the time. I replayed it over and over, read and reread the lyrcs.
Just finished listenen to the whole album on utube. and dug out the tattered alBUM with lyric sheets and cartoons also my notes and thoughts at the time.
It's still on of my favorites...............Its............................ REVOLUTION ROCK!
So goooood

wish i knew. Thought that thought back in '82 when listening to the vinyl on my headphones. Nice lullaby before the lp ejected on the third lp.

One of the best instrumentals ever! Say hallo to Joe!

God, I love the bleating in the background. Sandinista is so brilliantly odd.
Any guesses as to what's being said at 1:39 or thereabouts?
AnSpailpinFanach 2 years ago 4
No idea. I've played it slow, fast and backwards, there's just much echo to here what's being said, if indeed someone is being said at all.

This isn't the Police & Thieves tune is it?
(note it's just a question)
leeperryismerry 2 years ago 2
Don't think it is. There's some similarity in the bass line, but I don't think it's the same. I'm no expert at all though, could be wrong.
AppoCC119 2 years ago
@AppoCC119
I think it is actually, just a dub version
bobby58585 11 months ago
Sure it's just a question, but such a stupid one.
"Shepherds Delight" is the last track from the album "Sandinista!". "Police & Thieves" (by Junior Murvin) belongs to the first Clash album.

I know that,
I was just saying it coz that album has a few Instrumentals on
leeperryismerry 2 years ago
@leeperryismerry Wikipedia says that this song is Police and Thieves backwards, and also dubbed.
