well a refurbished one has been used but they work much better because any bug's or viruses have been wiped out so they run a lot better i think, your best bet to get a refurbished eee pc 900 would be to go to micro center if you have one in your area but if you don't try out other computer store's but if you want one brand new i've seen them at Toy's R Us for about $250.00 USD with tax it will come to about $261.00 to $300.00 USD.

Windows 7 requires 16gb of harddisk space, this netbook comes with 16gb of harddisk space, so i don't think Windows 7 will run good in it, or you don't have any space left to install software.

I have no problem with not having a cd drive, with DAEMON TOOLS you can just download every softare by torrent and have a fake drive to open everything with. I guess thats how the WoW dude did here on YOuTTUbe.

If you want to buy an EEE PC, dont buy the EEE PC 900 16G, either buy the 900 or 901...16G is the slow SSD that will make your system run slow...i would know...i accidentally bought the 16G a while back....

So, I bought one, he does look nice and works better than I thought, but I installed Windows XP on it, since Linux is not good for what I need. Windows XP runs fast, I was surprised. I consider the Asus Eee 900 my best acquisition this year, and I'm in love with it. Even the small keyboard, that so many complain about, is not that hard to get used to, especially for me and my small hands. And the best thing about it is that I can carry it in my purse everywhere =)

it depends, because acer aspire one uses a certain type of linux based os. But acer has a new laptop, a similar mini one that runs windows XP if that would be any intrest to you, if it is, you should look it up.

@ryanbycraft If you're at college chances are it's going to be tossed around a bit. Get the ASUS. I have one, best little laptop I've ever owned. I dropped mine from a table before by accident, not one bit of damage, only a small scuff that was easily removed.

I have tested it on two stores in Sweden, called OnOff and Expert, and i just dot understand why almost all people complains about the keyboard, it is small, but it´s so easy to write things on it. So as i said, i don´t know why the newspaper complains about the keyboard. Nice video, 5/5!!!!!

the new eee pc 900 is the 16g model. this one is about $399, but it comes at a cost of the original 900. this model has lost its fast 4gb ssd in order to cut costs and it is obvious when running programs. its going to be better to just buy the original 900 or even the 901. visit jkkmobile's website to see the specs. i bought a 16g and i regret it now and i cannot return it...

They have a 903, 904, and 905 eee pc. Intel Atom CPU but an interesting hybrid eee pc. Has the 900's screen in the 1000 case. For those who like the 900s screen size but want a bigger keyboard then it's fine. I too might consider getting one of these. Looks cool.
